Indore-based Spot Grafiks has installed a Komori Enthrone G29 sheetfed offset press, marking its first brand-new Komori machine after operating six pre-owned models from the same manufacturer over the years.

Sanjeev Vyas, managing director of Spot Grafiks, said the press has enhanced productivity and print quality. “Before bringing in the new Enthrone G29, we had owned six Komori presses – all pre-owned models. Three of them are still operational at our facility alongside the newly installed Enthrone. This new press is a game-changer – it clearly demonstrates how a brand new Komori press can transform operational efficiency and output quality. It runs so seamlessly that it requires minimal human intervention.”

The Enthrone G29 is a compact sheetfed offset press with a maximum speed of 13,000 sheets per hour and the ability to handle sheet sizes up to 530 × 750 mm, with a printing area of 520 × 740 mm. Its double-sized cylinders are designed for smooth printing on heavyweight substrates. “Automated features of the Enthrone G29 significantly reduce makeready times and boost our overall productivity,” Vyas said.

Commissioned about a month ago, the press is already being positioned for short-run commercial printing. “This is just the beginning. We aim to run the press at full capacity and strengthen our position in short-run commercial printing, where the Enthrone G29 proves to be an ideal fit,” Vyas said.

Founded in 1996, Spot Grafiks operates in offset printing, serving clients across sectors, including education, producing magazines, study materials, workbooks, brochures, catalogues, and flyers. In addition to its offset presses, the company runs in-house CTP, digital production presses, finishing systems, and other supporting equipment.

Vyas said the investment aligns with the company’s strategy of adapting to market trends through technology adoption. The company’s next phase of growth is being led by Arpit Vyas, representing the next generation of leadership.
