Prati unveils cutting-edge solutions at drupa 2024

-

Prati, a leading player in label and packaging converting and finishing, is gearing up to unveil its latest groundbreaking technology. Positioned at Hall 16, Stand A42, the highlight of Prati’s showcase at drupa 2024 is the Digi Compact, a converting and finishing line designed to revolutionize the processing of self-adhesive labels and digitally printed flexible packaging. What sets the Digi Compact apart is its compact footprint, requiring only 3 meters of floor space while offering unparalleled versatility and efficiency. The machine can handle an extensive range of materials and execute various finishing and embellishment processes with precision.

One of the standout features of the Digi Compact is its ability to seamlessly switch between different products and materials, ranging from self-adhesive paper and plastic labels to heat-shrink and wrap-around labels. Whether it’s reel-to-reel, reel-to-sheet, or reel-to-label processing, the Digi Compact excels, making it an ideal investment for businesses looking to expand into new markets with minimal risk.

At drupa, Prati will showcase the Digi Compact in a roll-to-stack configuration, demonstrating its capability to finish IML labels, wet glue, and stickers. Available in three widths – 370, 400 and 450 – and featuring impressive working speeds of up to 200 meters per minute, the Digi Compact ensures high productivity without compromising on quality.

Moreover, the machine’s environmentally friendly design is a testament to Prati’s commitment to sustainability. With minimal consumables required for the finishing process and the use of only one glass of varnish, the Digi Compact not only enhances productivity but also reduces environmental impact.

The modular design of the Digi Compact further enhances its flexibility and scalability. Each process is equipped with its own module, from unwinding and aligning to rotary and semi-rotary die-cutting, slitting, and rewinding. This modular approach not only streamlines job changeovers but also future-proofs the machine, allowing for easy integration of new functions and options in line with Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 standards.
