Inessens installs Domino K300 monochrome inkjet printers

-

Inessens has installed three Domino K300 monochrome inkjet printers at its Imprimerie Bidoit facility in Cognac – a move the company says will expand its 2D-code and variable-data printing capabilities.

The upgrade will allow Inessens to add high-resolution 2D codes – including unique numbering and QR codes – to its premium wine and spirits labels, helping ensure compliance with evolving European labeling legislation.

Inessens operates across nine French printing houses serving wine, spirits, food, cosmetics, perfumes, and medical industries.

“We constantly anticipate market trends and expand our expertise to offer new printing and material solutions that help our customers stand out. Customizing labels with monochrome variable data and 2D codes is part of this strategy,” said Sébastien Garaboeuf, Directeur Industriel, Inessens.

The new K300 printers offer up to 600 dpi resolution and can run at speeds of up to 250 meters per minute – enabling Inessens to reliably produce large volumes of customized labels without waste, meeting short-run and tight-lead-time demands cost-effectively.

Garaboeuf added, “The K300s are ideal for adding unique numbering and variable QR codes to the premium wine labels we finish on a flexo process. They help us to reliably customize large volumes of labels without waste, enabling us to meet short-run, short lead time demands cost-effectively.”

The installation continues a long-standing collaboration between Inessens and Domino, with the company having used Domino’s inkjet technology since 2005, upgrading over the years from basic numbering to advanced variable-data and 2D-code printing.

Looking ahead, Inessens plans to roll out this variable data and 2D-code printing capability across its full network, offering enhanced traceability, anti-counterfeiting options and compliance support to its customers in wine, food, cosmetics and other sectors.
