Alpha Flex, a Delhi-NCR-based flexographic trade shop, has expanded its platemaking capabilities with the installation of a Flexcel NX Wide 4260 system from Miraclon. The investment supports the company’s growth into mid- and wide-web flexible packaging and its ambition to capture new business opportunities across northern India.
“We see Flexcel NX Technology as an important part of the next stage of our growth,” says Raghav Madan, partner, Alpha Flex. “There is strong market demand for Flexcel NX Plates, but for us the decision goes beyond that. Combined with our established LED exposure capabilities, the new system strengthens our ability to provide customers with high quality plates and more predictable performance on press as we expand into new applications and markets.”
Since starting digital flexo plate production in 2015, Alpha Flex has steadily expanded its capabilities as the needs of its customers have evolved. Originally focused predominantly on narrow-web labels and laminate tubes, the company now serves both narrow- and wide-web markets. Growing demand for shrink sleeves, pouches and other flexible packaging applications is creating new opportunities as existing customers move into mid-web production and Alpha Flex targets a larger share of the wide-web market.

The Flexcel NX Wide 4260 System was installed earlier in 2026 and adds a new technology platform to Alpha Flex’s existing platemaking operation. Access to Miraclon’s unique multi-form plate surface patterning technology was also an important factor in the investment decision. Sudhir Arora, Partner, says triple-form patterning – PureFlexo Printing – is a key differentiator, supporting its focus on helping printers achieve better ink transfer, strong ink densities and more stable, predictable print performance.
“From a technical perspective, we look beyond plate quality alone to what actually happens on press,” says Sudhir. “The ability to control ink transfer, maintain density and keep print clean and stable is what ultimately creates value for the printer. Flexcel NX Technology gives us access to advanced capabilities that help us support those objectives, while the Miraclon team has worked closely with us through installation, training and the development of the right operating practices.”
Alpha Flex combines its technical expertise with a strong focus on process control and customer service. Raghav brings a background in systems and ERP, while Sudhir contributes more than 30 years’ technical and print experience. Together, these complementary strengths have helped shape an operation focused on both production performance and disciplined process management.
That approach is reflected in Alpha Flex’s internally developed ERP system, which tracks jobs from receipt through production and dispatch. Each job is assigned a unique ID to simplify repeat orders, while customers receive automated status updates as work progresses through production.
As Alpha Flex strengthens its position in Delhi-NCR and neighboring markets, the company plans to expand its reach more broadly across northern India before pursuing further opportunities west and south. “As we grow, our aim is to be more than a plate supplier,” concludes Raghav. “We want to work closely with printers, share technical knowledge and help them get more from the flexo process. And who better understands the needs of a printer than somebody who has been a printer and has hands-on experience.”
