Kolkata-based Vanshika Graphics, a prepress house that entered commercial printing two years ago with its first Komori press, has signed a purchase agreement for a second machine – the Komori Lithrone GL437 sheetfed offset press – at the Pack-O-Printex 2026 expo held in Kolkata from 15–18 May 2026.

Sanjay Sureka, proprietor of Vanshika Graphics, said the company had been looking to expand its commercial printing capacity since acquiring the Komori Enthrone 429 in 2024. “Ever since we started engaging in commercial printing in 2024 with the Enthrone 429, it has been our mission to buy one or more brand new Komori presses to take our commercial printing to the next level,” he said. “We finalized the booking of the brand new 4-color Lithrone GL437 during the Pack-O-Printex 2026 expo. This new Komori press is packed with modern features and advanced capabilities, which we have been looking for.”

Vanshika Graphics has operated as a prepress house for over 20 years, serving printers across Kolkata with platesetter and CtP equipment. The company said the Lithrone GL437, expected to be installed within a few months, will expand its commercial output to include calendars, booklets, brochures, pamphlets, and marketing collateral.

The Lithrone GL437 is a sheetfed offset press designed for high-volume commercial printing. It operates at a maximum speed of 15,000 sheets per hour and accommodates sheet sizes up to 640 x 940 mm. The press handles stock thicknesses from 0.04 mm to 0.45 mm, with variants capable of handling up to 0.6 mm or more, and includes an inline coater.

Sureka noted that the company declined an approach from another press manufacturer during the decision-making process, opting to stay with Komori. “A global brand from Europe approached us to buy their sheetfed offset press while our decision for the Komori GL437 was not finalized; however, we said a direct ‘no’ to them because we never thought of going for any brand but Komori,” he said.

Jitender Rohilla, general manager – sales at Komori India, said the company welcomed the continued relationship with Vanshika Graphics. “Continuing their trust and confidence in Komori technology, they have booked the Komori GL437 to elevate commercial printing. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to providing them with more new presses as per their needs and requirements in the future,” he said.

Looking ahead, Sureka said Vanshika Graphics plans to acquire a 7-color Komori press within approximately two years to enter the packaging printing segment. The company currently employs 45 staff members.
