The company’s emphasis on research-driven innovation and commitment to sustainability led to several innovative product launches in the 31 March 2024 quarter.
Packaging Films Business
The B-UUB-M Outstanding Barrier Metallized BOPP Film: This film is an advanced solution crafted to meet the requirements of various packaging structures. It boasts a remarkable array of properties, specifically tailored for packaging dry fruits, beverages, chips, snacks, biscuits, cookies, and other confectionery and chocolate items. With an exceptional oxygen transmission rate (<0.1cc/m2/day) and moisture barrier (<0.05 gm/m2/day), it ensures prolonged freshness and quality retention. Additionally, its outstanding barrier to seal the aroma and good migration barrier guarantees the integrity of the packaged goods.
Furthermore, its excellent metal adhesion, chlorine-free PVDC coated film, and replacement of aluminum foil make it a versatile and environmentally friendly choice. Chemicals Business
FLEXSEAL WBHS 36: Formulated as a water-based dispersion, this eco-friendly heat seal coating offers excellent adhesion and heat-sealing capabilities across a range of substrates, from paper to paper and aluminum foil to aluminum foil. Moreover, it showcases remarkable resistance to both oil and water, further enhancing its versatility and reliability.
FLEXBOND FB DL 500: This water-based acrylic formulation is meticulously crafted for laminating films (such as clear PET or BOPP and Matt BOPP), as well as metallized films onto paper or duplex boards, addressing the requirements of the offset industries. It offers outstanding gloss and bond strength post-lamination, ensuring superior quality results. Particularly recommended for use with new dual metal rollers dry lamination machines for Monocarton applications, it delivers optimal performance and reliability.
FLEXCRYL 6666: A halogen-free, sustainable polyester acrylate boasting outstanding adhesion to metals, plastics, and paper, along with good heat resistance, fast curing, and hardness. Tailored for topcoats and applications including flexography, dry offset, screen printing, and wet lithographic inks. FLEXCRYL 6666, serves as a vital raw material facilitating backward integration in UV and EB coatings and inks production that enhances control over quality, time, and costs with superior adhesion, lithographic properties, and rapid UV curing, it promises significant advantages.
Flexible Packaging Business
Premium packaging for Deepak Gold Tea: UFlex developed a new packaging for Deepak Tea that includes holography features that enhance the brand appeal and prevent counterfeiting. The brand name is also embellished with gold lacquer instead of a gold paste, enhancing the visual appeal.
Stand-up spout for Asal: UFlex developed a stand-up spout pouch for Asal idly-dosa batter – a South Indian ready-to-eat snack. This innovative 5-kg pouch features a 17mm spout for easy pouring and resealing, catering to the needs of institutional customers such as caterers, canteens in hospitals/offices, and hotels.
Premium packaging for ‘More Light’ liquid detergent: UFlex has developed a premium packaging structure for Jyothy Labs’ brand, “More Light” liquid detergent, now available in a 5-litre spouted preformed pouch. This pouch is the largest of its kind for liquid packaging in India. The innovative design of the new packaging for More Light’s 5-litre pack ensures a leak-free seal with its specially engineered structure. The spout pouch’s design facilitates multiple uses, enhancing brand visibility for consumers. Moreover, all corners of the pouches have been rounded to eliminate sharp edges, prioritizing safety and convenience.
Holography Business

In response, UFlex’s holography business has launched tailored holographic security labels specifically engineered for this market. These advanced labels, custom-designed for a prominent industry leader, incorporate unparalleled overt security features, serving as visible identifiers.
By preventing replication, these labels ensure the authenticity of products, safeguarding brand reputation and revenue streams. Engineering Business
Asepto Speed 25000 machine: UFlex, under the flagship of Asepto, introduced the next-gen, superpower Asepto Speed 25000 machine, an innovative engineering marvel that can process 25,000 aseptic liquid cartons per hour. It is the next-generation aseptic liquid filling machine with state-of-the-art technology that works at lightning speed with the convenience of an all-in-one portion-pack filling facility.
One needs to fit in the paper roll and the machine works automatically to process it into the final folder. The machine has inbuilt chambers for splicing, stripping, sterilizing, filling, sealing, and dispensing processes that work with a click of a button. It is easy to operate and the complete process can be controlled through a human-machine interface. It is designed to boost the production capacity by more than double the speed of your current production.
UFlex-flexi–liquid (double head): The newly introduced machinery boasts an array of features designed to optimize operation efficiency. Its user-friendly interface ensures easy operation, while its low maintenance requirements minimize downtime. Despite its compact design and small footprint, it integrates seven servos, enabling high-speed performance. A specialized forming tool ensures uniform and superior forming, while the engineered filling system with positive cut-off guarantees precision.
Additionally, a servo-controlled continuous sealing mechanism maximizes sealing time, enhancing sealing quality and strength. The servo-pulling method ensures accurate and uniform eye-mark-to-eye-mark pulling. Notably, the machine facilitates seamless roll changes without halting operations. Optional features include an auto splicing system, online coding system, and outfeed conveyor, further enhancing productivity. Customer color preferences are accommodated, and pouch-making capacity varies depending on film material and thickness. It’s important to note that equipment improvements may lead to changes in appearance and optional features are sold separately from standard equipment.
Printing Cylinders Business
The business has introduced a new embossing line at its Noida facility and remains committed to manufacturing printing cylinders compatible with water-based inks.
