Transpack, a Sonepat-based company specializing in manufacturing printed corrugated boxes, recently took a significant step towards enhancing its production capabilities. The company has installed a state-of-the-art Bobst Novafold 110 A2 folder-gluer, marking a pivotal moment in its manufacturing journey. The strategic investment aims at delivering Transpack’s commitment to high-quality cartons while catering to the diverse needs of its clientele.

Raghav Khandelwal, partner at Transpack, stated that the decision to invest in the Bobst Novafold 110 A2 was driven by the need for heightened quality, productivity and efficiency. He emphasized the significance of reducing waste and upholding exceptional quality standards in their products.

Khandelwal added, “The Bobst Novafold 110 folder-gluer represents a significant transformation in Transpack’s production process. Our prime requirement for the folder-gluer was to produce corrugated boxes, and we cannot afford any machine errors. As pioneers in quality products, compromising on quality was not an option for us. Bobst emerged as the ideal choice, perfectly aligning with our stringent quality standards.”

Equipped with advanced features such as options for straight-line, lock bottom, disproportionate lock bottom, conical cartons, partition boxes, and other specialized designs, the folder-gluer offers unparalleled versatility. Additionally, Transpack opted for the inclusion of a cold glue system with 4 glue guns from HHS Baumer in the machine, further enhancing its functionality. With a production speed of up to 350 meters per minute, the Novafold 110 empowers Transpack to efficiently handle orders of varying sizes, whether they are mono-cartons or 3-ply corrugated cartons, while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Transpack’s production facility has a comprehensive lineup of cutting-edge machinery tailored to meet the demands of modern packaging requirements. Alongside the newly installed Bobst Novafold 110, the company operates a 6-color coater Heidelberg CD 102 press and two 2-color Heidelberg presses. Additionally, its corrugation unit features two fingerless Chinese corrugation machines capable of producing E-flutes and B-flutes. Moreover, Transpack has six Victoria diecutters alongside one Bobst Novacut diecutter in its arsenal. The company offers a diverse range of products, including 3-, 5- and 7-ply boxes, as well as duplex boxes, catering to a wide spectrum of packaging needs.

In addition to its technological prowess, Transpack prides itself on its esteemed clientele, which includes renowned names such as Bikanerwala, Walmart Pepco, Dollar, and Wonder Products. “With a focus on export-oriented clients and association with industry giants like Wonder Products, one of the largest OEMs in the cosmetic industry, Transpack has solidified its position as a trusted provider of premium packaging solutions,” said Khandelwal.

Founded by Munish Goyal around 2004, Transpack has evolved into a dynamic enterprise under the leadership of Goyal, alongside family friend Pradip Khandelwal and his son Raghav Khandelwal. Together, they steer the company’s strategic initiatives, with Munish Goyal overseeing marketing and business development, Raghav Khandelwal managing production and dispatch, and Pradip Khandelwal handling financial operations.

Operating within a sprawling facility spanning 2100 square yards, with a covered area of 1400 square yards, Transpack embodies a culture of excellence and innovation. With a consistent growth rate of 15-20% CAGR, the company remains poised for continued success. Its dedicated workforce of 60 to 70 individuals working in 12-hour shifts contributes tirelessly to the company’s operations, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

In line with its commitment to sustainability and quality assurance, Transpack maintains certifications such as SEDEX compliance and FSC accreditation. Furthermore, the company is actively expanding its presence in the food and beverage segment, leveraging existing partnerships and forging new collaborations to drive growth and innovation.

Reflecting on the broader landscape of the printing industry, Raghav Khandelwal highlighted the significance of differentiation through quality. “In an industry saturated with competition, our focus on delivering superior quality remains our competitive advantage. By prioritizing quality-oriented jobs and refusing to compromise on excellence, we continue to earn the trust and loyalty of our customers,” he said.

Chandrashekhar Dhote, regional manager for sales (North and East) at Bobst India Folding Carton, added, “Since its introduction in 2022, the Bobst Novafold has proven to be remarkably successful. This versatile machine can be configured to meet both current and future customer requirements. It is designed to handle mono-cartons and corrugated cartons, capable of running various designs including straight-line, lock bottom, disproportionate lock bottom, conical cartons, partition boxes, and other specialized configurations. Bobst’s expertise ensures that comprehensive process support is readily available to all customers. Moreover, as a modular machine, Transpack has the flexibility to retrofit 4 to 6 attachments at any point in the future.”
