swop 2023 focuses on trends and innovations in packaging industry

-
The Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) will be held from 22 to 24 November 2023 in Halls N1-N5 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center

With the rapid socio-economic development and the advent of the digital age, consumer demands for personalization, emotional appeal as well as demands for innovation and creativity have become new trends in the FMCG industry, requiring brand owners to pursue innovation and placing high demands on packaging and printing companies. To adapt to the changing and diversified market, companies also need to meet the individual needs of customers while offering competitive and innovative solutions. In this context, companies must shift their focus from packaging to products to enhance their core competencies.

Cost reduction and efficiency, packaging design, packaging structure, and light assets have become the goals pursued by FMCG companies. The FMCG packaging market continues to offer tremendous business opportunities for manufacturers of packaging materials and products. Product packaging will directly influence consumers’ desire to buy and is also one of the important ways to reflect brand attributes.

swop and PKG Family will jointly create a great display

The Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) will be held from 22 to 24 November 2023 in Halls N1-N5 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center. swop will once again team up with PKG Family to showcase industry innovations and future trends. In 2023, the two parties will collaborate for the fourth time to create the ‘FMCG Infinity Zone’ in Halls N4 and N5 to bring together the latest packaging materials, ideas, technologies and new products/designs for end-use industries such as food and household chemical products. New industry highlights will also be announced.

The FMCG Infinity Zone is one of the most competitive highlights and advantages of the previous editions of swop, which has been well-received by the industry and has achieved many successes. The exhibits in the FMCG Infinity Zone will mainly include plastic packaging products, films, chemical materials, flexible packaging, glass packaging, metal packaging, paper packaging, paper box packaging, paper-plastic packaging, cosmetics ODM/OEM companies, food and beverage packaging, biodegradable materials, anti-counterfeit packaging, cushioning packaging, etc. Well-known exhibitors at the previous editions include ExxonMobil, Guolong, INTCO Recycling, Beauty Star, Leekee Packaging, Jingli Can, Yuto, Zidan, Xian Jun Long, Sunkea, Rizone, Yali, Push Mold, Acmepak, Furong, Ningbo Colour Master Batch, Foshan Wanying Cosmetics, Zhongshan Fulin, Zhongshan Sinno, and the Shaoxing Shangyu District Cosmetics Packaging Industry Association, among others.

Covers entire FMCG industry chain

The FMCG Infinity Zone will bring together 300+ packaging exhibitors under one roof. With the increasing variety of FMCG products and the rise of live streaming e-commerce, the upgraded FMCG Infinity Zone will fill the gap of OEM/ODM exhibits and improve the procurement supply chain for end users. High-quality products will be showcased and an interdisciplinary exchange platform will be built for end-users of packaging applications to enhance their brand competitiveness.

In line with the asset-light operating model favored by brands in recent years, exhibits will be enriched to cover the entire FMCG industry chain from packaging to the supply chain. Meanwhile, the FMCG Infinity Zone will double in size compared to previous editions. In addition to the expanded area, the FMCG Infinity Zone at swop 2023 will also take on a new look, with upgraded booths providing a fresh experience for exhibitors and visitors.
