PPL Nigeria – an Indian story beyond boundaries

Established in 2011, Perfect Packaging – the brainchild of Yudhviram Solanki, with the distinction of being the first manufacturer of self-adhesive labels in roll form in Nigeria. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the country’s most trusted names in the label and packaging industry, recognized for its innovation, quality, and customer-centric approach.

Operating in Nigeria comes with its own set of challenges. Over the years, the country has witnessed periods of currency devaluation, evolving government regulations, and a rapidly changing consumer landscape. Yet, despite these fluctuations, Perfect Packaging has remained resilient and maintained its strong footing. This stability has been possible due to the unwavering support of the Nigerian people, the loyalty of its customers, and above all, the dedication and hard work of its staff – factors that continue to drive the company’s growth and relevance in an ever-evolving economy.

Today, Perfect Packaging caters to a wide spectrum of industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, edible oils, distilleries, specialty industrial applications, oil and gas, and batteries. With a strong focus on ethical and sustainable practices, the company has been a Sedex Smeta 6-Pillar audited facility since 2018, demonstrating its commitment to international standards of responsibility and compliance.

The company’s infrastructure is designed to support a large-scale, high-quality production space of 34000 sq.ft. With an annual capacity exceeding 7 million square meters of labelstock, Perfect Packaging operates four Weigang ZJR flexographic presses, machines renowned for their ability to deliver long-run jobs with exceptional registration and print quality. Operator-friendly and highly responsive, these presses provide seamless performance across a wide range of label applications. The ability to interchange sleeves and magnetic cylinders across all machines further enhances efficiency and production flexibility.

Perfect Packaging’s growth story has been both deliberate and dynamic. After installing its first Weigang ZJR press in 2011, the company steadily expanded, adding new presses every two years. Today, as it prepares to commission its fifth (5th) Weigang ZJR flexo press, the company is gearing up to run a series of specialty labelstock developed in partnership with Nigerian clients. This expansion reflects its dedication to sustainability, with new eco-friendly materials that are both environmentally responsible and economically viable compared to existing alternatives.

The future also holds broader ambitions. Perfect Packaging is actively exploring entry into new segments such as wet-glue labels, in-mould labels (IML), and shrink sleeves, strengthening its role as a versatile packaging solutions provider. Its technical expertise in advanced printing is well established – achieving 12-color results on an 8-colour press through multiple passes. This precision enabled the company to successfully meet European-standard colour protocols for a leading cosmeceutical brand in Nigeria, further cementing its reputation for excellence.

With its pioneering legacy, robust capacity, and forward-looking vision, Perfect Packaging continues to set benchmarks in Nigeria’s packaging sector – delivering innovative, sustainable, and world-class label solutions that are future-ready.

The formal order was placed with Weigang at Labelexpo Barcelona.
