Minebea Intec will showcase weighing and inspection technologies at Anuga FoodTech, running 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India (Hall 4, Stand M22), including the Blue HMI interface.
Manufacturing companies face growing pressure from rising energy costs, higher quality requirements, stricter sustainability targets and demand for maximum plant availability. At Anuga FoodTech 2026, Minebea Intec will demonstrate how these challenges can be addressed through networked weighing and inspection solutions. “Today, it is crucial to make data from weighing and inspection processes consistently usable – this is the only way to reduce downtime, ensure consistent quality and optimize processes in a targeted manner,” said Mohan Bhat, director of research and development at Minebea Intec India.
The Blue HMI interface, now used across the company’s product and application portfolio, recently received the Red Dot Award in the ‛Interface & User Experience Design’ category. The company said the uniform operating concept enables consistent user guidance across different systems, reducing training requirements and operating errors. Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to interact directly with company representatives about their requirements.
MiNexx: weighing systems with cyber security features
Minebea Intec will present the MiNexx weight indicators and MiNexx 3000 weighing platform for industrial weighing applications. The systems are designed for use in vehicle, silo and container weighing, goods receipt and dispatch, and batching and mixing processes. Combined with connected load cells, the company said the systems enable continuous monitoring of material flows under demanding conditions.
The systems include interfaces such as OPC UA, intended to enable standardized, platform-independent communication between machines, software and higher-level systems, with data transmitted alongside contextual information for interpretation across systems. The company said cyber security is supported by an integrated security concept, including a three-tier user role management system for access control. Minebea Intec said the MiNexx solutions are intended to support data-driven process optimization and production efficiency.
New checkweigher and X-ray inspection systems
Minebea Intec will present the Essentus Advanced checkweigher, which the company said features an improved operating concept, expanded connectivity and enhanced performance for networked processes. For food manufacturers, checkweighers are used to help prevent over- and under-filling, meet regulatory requirements and manage raw material usage, which the company said contributes to product quality and reduced total cost of ownership.
The portfolio also includes the Identus X-ray inspection system, which, like the Essentus Advanced checkweigher, is manufactured in India. “Thanks to local manufacturing, customers benefit from short delivery times as well as technical and regulatory requirements that are optimally tailored to the Indian market,” said Mohan Bhat. “Our Indian development team has done a fantastic job here in coordination with our headquarters in Germany.” The Identus system is designed for foreign body detection – including metal, glass, stones, plastics or bones – as well as in-line quality checks covering weight determination, component counting, identification of missing or damaged products, fill level control and closure integrity checks.
At the stand, Minebea Intec representatives will be available to discuss how the technologies can be applied to production processes.
