Premal Desai, chief executive officer of hubergroup

hubergroup, a specialty chemicals company, will return to the ElitePlus Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit as a partner for the fourth consecutive year in Mumbai on 26 and 27 August 2026. On 26 August, Vellayan Subbiah, chairman of hubergroup, will deliver his keynote ‛Driving Sustainable Growth in an Uncertain World’. His participation reflects hubergroup’s involvement in industry dialogue and sustainable innovation in the packaging sector.

Premal Desai, chief executive officer of hubergroup, said, “As a long standing Platinum Partner of ElitePlus, we value this summit as a leading forum that brings together the entire value chain to accelerate safe, circular packaging. At hubergroup, we are deeply committed to understanding our customers’ evolving needs and collaborating closely with them to deliver innovative solutions. Events like ElitePlus provide a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, foster partnerships, and work collectively to create lasting value for our customers and the industry as a whole.”

Spotlight on hubergroup’s integrated system for flexible packaging

At its stand, hubergroup will showcase its solvent-based Gecko portfolio and its lamination adhesives. Amit Dammani, business head packaging solutions at hubergroup India, said, “Our Gecko inks and varnishes as well as our lamination adhesives are built as an integrated system to deliver uptime, quality, and recyclability – practical tools for converters navigating today’s uncertainty while pursuing sustainable growth.”

Safe food packaging with toluene free and NC free Gecko inks

The Gecko ink series is toluene-free and is used in snack packaging, confectionery laminates, dairy pouches, and pharmaceutical overwraps. According to the company, it delivers high color yield, lamination bond strength, and stable rheology at elevated press speeds. hubergroup will also present its expanded NC free portfolio, which it says is part of its focus on circular packaging solutions.

Adhesives that make structures work as one

Adhesives are central to making multiple substrates perform as a single structure. With its lamination adhesives, hubergroup offers a portfolio – solvent based and solvent free – that extends from its Gecko inks to help ensure consistent results across the converting process. Converters benefit from bond strength across diverse film structures, faster curing, thermal and chemical resistance, compatibility with flexographic, rotogravure, and other printing processes, and low-migration solutions for sensitive applications.
