Heidelberg has sold its Gallus Five hybrid digital press to Ahmedabad-based Letra Graphix, with the deal announced at LOUPE India 2026. The installation will make Letra Graphix the first company in Asia to install the press.
The investment marks Letra Graphix’s second hybrid press acquisition as it expands its capabilities in premium label production. “It will help Letra produce high-end, high-quality labels,” said Sahil Shah, director at Letra Graphix.
Unveiled at Labelexpo Europe 2025, the Gallus Five combines digital inkjet printing with conventional printing and finishing processes in a single hybrid configuration. The press is part of Heidelberg and Gallus’ digital printing portfolio, offering label converters greater flexibility across production requirements, including short runs, variable content and labels with value-added finishes.
“The installation underlines the growing role of hybrid technology in label production, as converters seek to broaden their application capabilities and serve premium label requirements,” said Samir Patkar, president at Heidelberg.
