Labelexpo Europe 2023: FIG seals two Mark Andy Pro deals with Webtech Industries

-

Flexo Image Graphics (FIG) sold multiple Mark Andy narrow web flexo printing presses during the Labelexpo Europe 2023, held between 11–14 September at Brussels Expo in Brussels, Belgium. Among the big deals sealed by FIG during the expo, Webtech Industries booked two Mark Andy Pro Series narrow-web flexo printing presses. Webtech Industries is a well-known name in the Indian label industry.

The two 13-inch and 8-color Mark Andy presses, which were booked by Webtech Industries during the expo, are fully loaded and they belong to Mark Andy’s newly launched Pro Series narrow-web flexo printing presses.

Gourav Roy, managing director, Flexo Image Graphics, said, “Labelexpo Europe this year is really a fantastic edition for us. Mark Andy globally launched the highly-advanced Pro Series during the expo and we have bagged multiple deals of the press.”

Roy added that the acquisition of two Mark Andy Pro presses by Webtech Industries represents a significant milestone for FIG. He further mentioned that these presses are set to be delivered shortly, with additional post-press equipment already in the pipeline. Roy expressed his delight at witnessing an industry veteran making a resurgence in the label printing sector by choosing to invest in FIG’s printing solutions.

Amar Chhajed from Webtech Industries said, “We are happy with the collaboration of FIG and Webtech. A new plant will be established in the western part of the country, most likely in Mumbai, with all advanced equipment and facilities.”

The Mark Andy Pro Series, a new class of fully servo presses, has been designed to significantly enhance productivity while minimizing time and waste, thereby elevating profitability for short-run label printing to new heights. “It features flexo workflow that can compete in the digital space. When it comes to waste reduction, Mark Andy Pro Series’ pre-registration sets near perfect after the first label and its auto-registration maintains registration at all speeds. It runs at the maximum speed of 150 mpm (500 fpm) taking up substrates ranging from 50–305 microns (2–12 mil),” said Roy.

With unwind capacity of 762 mm (30 inches) and rewind capacity of 762 mm (30 inches), Mark Andy Pro Series covers the majority of pressure-sensitive and other non-film work. Chhajed said, “We are quite sure that we will gain the previous momentum and acceptance from the industry. One of our two new Mark Andy Pro flexo label printing presses will be dedicatedly used only for pharma packaging and printing.”

At the Labelexpo Europe 2023, FIG represented Mark Andy as well as some of the other leading international brands like Rhyguan, Luster, Maxcess, Eson, Kluge, Presstek, Rotoflex, Eson, and KDS. Headquartered in New Delhi with branches in Mumbai and Chennai, FIG is an authorized distributor of global brands in the Indian subcontinent. The company is backed by a team of 42 experienced technical and marketing professionals.
