Shree Arun Packaging Co. (SAPCO), a family-owned company based in Mumbai with origins dating back to 1970, has recently installed a Komori Lithrone GL-640+C IR press as part of its ongoing efforts to upgrade its production capabilities. Founded by Narayan Prasad Bhotica, a visionary patriarch who recognized the future potential of the printing and packaging industry, the company has consistently embraced technological change. From its early days in letterpress to the adoption of ultra-modern machinery, SAPCO has continuously upgraded its equipment portfolio.

Over the years, the second and third generations of the Bhotica family have taken the business forward, contributing their efforts and commitment to strengthen SAPCO’s reputation for quality and reliability in the printing and packaging industry. The company is currently led by Hemant Bhotica and Tushar Bhotica as directors, along with Vishwamdev Bhotica, who serves as technical director.

Explaining the recent investment in the 6-color Lithrone GL-640 with coater IR, Vishwamdev Bhotica says, “We have chosen the brand new Komori sheet-fed offset press for boosting our packaging printing. Brand Komori in the market these days is widely acknowledged as an ideal technology for packaging printing with precision. After all, we are happy and satisfied with the way the team Komori India is cooperating with us and guiding us to know the core capabilities and features of the brand new Lithrone GL-640 sheet-fed offset press now running at our facility, with which we are gearing up to boost our packaging jobs to another level efficiently and productively.”

Lithrone GL-640 is a robust sheet-fed offset press, which promises substantial improvement in efficiency by reducing make-ready times and wastage. SAPCO’s production facility is well equipped with advanced pre-press systems, presses, and post-press & finishing equipment. Likewise, advanced post-press and finishing machines at the facility are for varnishing, foiling, lamination, diecutting, punching, pasting (carton), folding (pharma inserts) and many others.

Printed cartons, corrugated cartons, plastic cartons, metpet cartons, blister cards, wrappers, to mention a few, are some key products which SAPCO currently caters to its clients dotted across diverse sectors, viz. pharmaceutical, FMCG, food and beverage, ice cream and cold storage, garments, mobiles, stationery, cosmetics, eCommerce packaging, etc. SAPCO has been partnering with its clients, who are big brands and corporate biggies, for years.

“Beyond the domestic market, we export our products to the international market destinations like the US, UK, Middle East, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many African countries,” says Vishwamdev, adding that they could do all this because of the team SAPCO’s commitment and constant updates of the company’s production facility with the most advanced and capable machines, such as the recent installation of the Komori Lithrone GL-640 for pitching packaging printing into a new level.
