Kridwinn partners with Hongda to bring advanced inkjet solutions to India

Gurgaon-based Kridwinn Innovations has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Hongda Digital Technology, a sister company of McLantis International (Shanghai) Group, for the Indian market. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing industrial inkjet printing solutions in India.

Under the agreement, Kridwinn Innovations will be the exclusive distributor for Hongda Digital’s print-on-demand Roll-to-Sheet Inkjet Presses across India. These presses cater to a variety of applications, including book publishing, security printing, variable data printing, newspaper production, transactional documents, and more. The partnership also covers the launch and future support of all current and upcoming product lines from Hongda Digital in the country.

“We were amazed by the print quality – almost indistinguishable from offset printing – delivered by Hongda Digital’s machines,” said Jimit Mittal, managing director, Kridwinn Innovations. “Over three months, we evaluated their performance by visiting 8 to 10 production sites across China. The machines consistently demonstrated reliability, stability, and production efficiency. With exceptional print quality, competitive equipment and operating costs, and high productivity, this solution is the perfect fit for India’s growing book publishing industry. We believe it will set a new benchmark in the market.”

Commenting on the partnership, Chen Daidou, director of Hongda Digital, said, “We first met Jimit Mittal and his team a few months ago and were highly impressed with their deep knowledge of inkjet technology and the Indian market. Since industrial inkjet solutions require strong after-sales support, we found Kridwinn’s 20+ years of experience and technical capabilities very compelling. The decision to collaborate was quick – and so far, Kridwinn has far exceeded our expectations. We look forward to a long-term, successful partnership in India.”

Elaborating on the product offerings, Mittal said, “The Digimac CMYK Series from Hongda Digital is available in 440 / 660 / 880 mm web widths, with options for roll, sheet, or fold outputs. It supports speeds of up to 120 meters per minute and offers both 1-bit binary mode for high productivity and 2-bit grayscale mode for high-quality output. The machines use water-based pigment inks compatible with uncoated papers (50–150 gsm) and are powered by Epson inkjet printhead technology. The Digital Front End (DFE) is user-friendly and features a high-speed RIP engine compatible with PDFs and other common formats.”

“We are excited to share that five machines will be installed at customer sites in India by December 2025,” Mittal added. “India is evolving rapidly in digital printing. In the near future, digital press installations will outpace conventional printing machines in several industrial segments. Printers across India are now realizing the value digital brings in agility, cost-efficiency, and growth potential.”
