Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS) and Parksons Packaging are marking 25 years of partnership, which began in 2001 when Parksons Packaging became the first company in the region, according to the company, to invest in a Kongsberg PCS digital cutting table. The company’s early adoption helped demonstrate the value of digital cutting technology to the wider Indian packaging industry.
Founded in 1996, Parksons Packaging specializes in folding cartons, specialized board packaging for liquid packs and customized rigid boxes. It serves markets including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and healthcare. According to the company, it has grown into a major folding carton packaging provider, with a focus on innovation, sustainability and advanced printing technologies.
The company said the early adoption of the technology helped accelerate packaging development and sample production, gave its teams greater production efficiencies and supported its continued growth. Since then, Parksons Packaging has invested in seven further tables across eight locations.
Over the 25 years, the relationship has evolved from a traditional supplier and customer arrangement into a partnership. According to the companies, Kongsberg PCS’s digital cutting technology, supported by its service and technical expertise, has helped Parksons Packaging improve productivity, respond to changing customer requirements, diversify its offering and bring packaging concepts to market faster.
