At Labelexpo India 2024, The Packman had the pleasure of meeting Bhupesh Tilwani, the founder and sales catalyst of Keway Sales Enterprises. A relatively new entrant in the market, Keway Sales was officially launched on 1 June 2024, during the drupa season. Despite being just six months old, the company has already carved a niche in the industry, owing to Tilwani’s extensive 14-year experience with renowned brands such as Avery Dennison, 3M, and Rotometal.

Reflecting on his journey, Tilwani shared the philosophy behind Keway Sales Enterprises. “India is often perceived as a price-sensitive market, but in reality, it is a customer-centric and innovation-driven market,” he explained. This understanding fueled the inception of Keway Sales, which prides itself on being “a place where global innovations meet local demand.”

Keway Sales Enterprises has established partnerships with 14 international brands, offering a diverse range of products that cater to the label printing industry. These include flexo and digital printing machines, ancillary equipment, and spare parts such as Corona treaters and unwinders. “We ensure that whether a customer needs a machine, post-press equipment, or parts, we have a solution for them,” Tilwani said.

Keyway Sales’s international partner Intec’s sales director Kerry Button said, “Intec’s collaboration with Keyway Sales began at drupa 2024, where plans for the partnership were solidified. “The Keyway Sales team has completed its training and is ready to provide local support. We expect to start delivering our first units in the coming weeks,” Button shared.

Intec has been around for over 30 years, manufacturing a range of digital cutting and finishing systems. Acquired by the Plockmatic Group three years ago, Intec’s products are now sold under both the Intec and Plockmatic brands. The company recently launched eight new systems at drupa 2024, signaling its focus on innovation and global expansion.

At Labelexpo India 2024, Keyway Sales’ partner, Focus Label Machinery, also marked its presence. David Lee, technical sales director of Focus Label Machinery, shared insights into the company’s longstanding presence in India and its plans for future growth. Keyway Sales has recently joined Focus as their distributor partner in the Indian market, marking a strategic move to deepen their foothold in the region.

Speaking about the significance of the Indian market, Lee highlighted its dual appeal as both an exporter and a growing domestic market. “India is a vast continent with a big, big market. It’s rich in export potential and also has a substantial market in its own right,” Lee said.

Keyway Sales’ partner Martignoni, a well-known name in industrial solutions, marked its presence at Labelexpo India 2024 with innovative offerings tailored for the labeling and packaging sector. The exhibition marked Martignoni’s strategic entry into the Indian market. “India offers immense opportunities, but it also presents challenges, especially in terms of competition with local and Chinese manufacturers,” said Matteo Curone, junior assistant at Martignoni.

“Our strategy involves close collaboration with Tilwani, who is trained on our machines. While we are still in the initial phase of market penetration, we aim to provide rapid support, ship spare parts swiftly, and offer training to ensure seamless operations for our clients,” Curone added.
