Mumbai-based Standard Printers Providers, a key player in India’s graphic machinery market, participated in Labelexpo India 2024 to showcase the cutting-edge Taiyo UV flexo press. With over four decades of experience in importing and supplying high-quality printing and packaging machines, the company highlighted its commitment to serving the evolving needs of the Indian printing and packaging industry.

Speaking about their objective at the event, Gaurav Sachdev of Standard Printers Providers shared, “We participated to promote the Taiyo flexo presses, which cater to the label, film, and laminate segments, among others. The exhibition offered a fantastic platform for interaction with both existing and potential customers, fostering discussions about technology and customer requirements.”

A growing market amidst competition

Sachdev expressed optimism about the Indian market’s growth trajectory, noting that demand across various segments is increasing steadily. However, he acknowledged the rising competition among suppliers, stating, “While competition is getting tougher, quality will always be the defining factor. Those who deliver superior quality will have a competitive edge, and this remains our primary focus.”

Standard Printers Providers has made steady progress in installations this year, with one already completed and another scheduled in the next few months. Sachdev mentioned, “We are looking forward to expanding our installations and will share updates as they happen.”

Tackling challenges in pricing and perceptions

Discussing the challenges faced in the market, Sachdev highlighted pricing as a critical issue. “Indian customers are highly price-sensitive. It’s important to educate them about the value of quality and why certain equipment is priced at a premium. This requires detailed discussions to align expectations,” he explained.

Sustainability and machine excellence

On sustainability, Sachdev emphasized the long-term durability and superior metallurgy of the Taiyo UV Flexo presses. “Our machines are built with top-notch materials and have a proven track record of delivering consistent quality. This ensures sustainability in operations, aligning with industry expectations for reliable and efficient machinery,” he said.
