Heidelberg India participated in the 15th edition of Print Pack India, jointly with Gallus, IST Metz and Polar held between 26–30 May 2022 at India Expo Mart Centre at Greater Noida near New Delhi.
This year, Heidelberg India participated under the theme ‘Unfold Your Potential’ showcasing Prinect Live demo solutions center, Information center for Lifecycle solutions, with an exclusive offer on Saphira range of consumables and discounts for spare parts on Heidelberg, Polar, MK Masterwork, and Gallus equipment. The Heidelberg stand had dedicated information areas for Gallus and IST Metz which were managed by product experts throughout the show.

While the show was enthralled with printers from the commercial, packaging and label segments, the Heidelberg India stand had witnessed potential printers from all segments. The company said that the commercial and packaging business seemed to be a growing trend, and the publishing industry is making a comeback in India. Heidelberg presented live demonstrations of Prinect to more than 40 printers during the show.
Samir Patkar, president at Heidelberg India, said, “Prinect workflow is one of the decisive workflows for the print and packaging companies which gives comprehensive benefits at prepress and press. Also, we presented our Heidelberg solutions to the print owners with a focus on how to reduce the yellow bar, and how to increase the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) with our latest next-gen Heidelberg presses. Our product experts discussed the benefits of the Artificial Intelligence factor and digitization of processes, which are collaborated with the Heidelberg presses enabling an ecosystem to provide high productivity and ROI.”
As Printpack special, Heidelberg India signed three press deals – the first one is with Kumar Printers, a Speedmaster CX 104 7-color plus coater with IST UV and Prinect Image Control 4 system. The fully loaded Speedmaster CX 104 press is the first of its kind configuration in Northern India, which will be installed at Manesar, Haryana. The second is a Speedmaster CX 92 4-color press with Samrat Offset, based in New Delhi. And the third deal is a Speedmaster CX 104 7-color press with coating unit for Sukee Print Pack, Bengaluru in South India. Also, a few more CX 104 installations are lined-up in other regions.
Sandeep Bhargava, managing director of Kumar Printers, said, “The Speedmaster CX 104 emphasizes on increasing the efficiency with all latest user-friendly software features like Intelliline, Intelliguide and intellirun. The changeover process has been simplified, and changeover time should be lower with the software-assisted changeovers. With this investment, Kumar is looking to overcome some of the efficiency challenges every packaging converter is going through..”
Talking about the new investment Speedmaster CX 92, Abhishek Singh of Samrat Offset, said, “We are into commercial, book, wide-format printing, and packaging jobs. The size format and the technical features are good on the CX 92. Hence, we will be able to increase our productivity multi-fold.”
Sumanth Volety, director – Sukee Print Pack, said, “We are excited to welcome the Speedmaster CX 104 7-color press with coating unit to our press line. We are confident this will be a huge leap in our growth story, and we are eagerly looking forward to its installation and production.”
A good representation of Heidelberg salesforce from all regions participated at the show including pre-press, press, and post-press product experts. “The 15th edition of the PrintPack India has been a satisfying show for Heidelberg with multiple line-ups of orders for our Lifecycle solutions, Prinect, Heidelberg, Gallus, MK, and Polar equipment,” concluded Patkar.
