Durst opens customer experience centre in South Korea

-

Durst has opened a new customer experience centre in Gwangju City, South Korea, giving labels, packaging and wide-format printers across Asia-Pacific a permanent site to see its TAU RSCi, Durst-Omet KJet, and P5 350 HS systems running live.

The Durst Customer Experience Center in Asia is hosted by Korean partner SEROM CO in Gwangju, with the OEM positioning the site as a key step in strengthening its footprint in the region.

The centre includes a TAU RSCi label press, part of Durst’s RSC platform that has been noted for its productivity and flexibility in short to medium-run labels and speciality packaging.

Durst’s hybrid Durst-Omet KJet, also installed at the new centre, combines flexo and inkjet in a single line for labels production. The system was officially unveiled at drupa, with Matt Ashman, managing director of Durst Oceania, stating that: “The KJet is the culmination of the cooperation between Durst and OMET, two business at the top of their game, delivering the solution label converters need, and exclusively supplied and serviced by Durst Oceania.”

The P5 350 HS on show in Gwangju is the same high-speed hybrid platform being adopted by wide-format and display printers in Australia and New Zealand. Local installations include Cactus Imaging and Mediapoint.

The facility gives Asian and Oceania-based print businesses a closer option to evaluate Durst technology in person, rather than travelling to European demo centres. For Australian and New Zealand printers already running, or looking at, platforms such as the P5 350 HS or TAU RSCi, the Gwangju centre offers a regional hub for live demonstrations and application testing aligned with local market needs.
