DCGpac opens sustainable packaging plant in Noida

-

DCGpac has inaugurated a sustainable packaging manufacturing facility in Noida, India. The plant began operations on 18 January 2026 and is part of the company’s plan to expand its in-house manufacturing capabilities focused on sustainable packaging solutions.

The new facility, which DCGpac refers to as a Smart Manufacturing Plant, covers an area of 20,000 square feet. It has an initial production capacity of 250 tonnes per month, with provisions in place for future capacity expansion.

The Noida plant has been established under a five-year strategic partnership with UKHI, a materials science company that supplies biodegradable and compostable raw materials. According to DCGpac, the materials used at the facility are fully biodegradable and compostable.

The facility will manufacture export-grade sustainable packaging products for several sectors, including e-commerce, quick commerce, logistics, retail, and direct-to-consumer brands. DCGpac stated that the plant will serve customers in India as well as international markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and the Middle East.

Manufacturing capabilities at the Noida facility include extrusion, printing, sealing, and finishing lines. The plant also houses an on-site quality control laboratory to support compliance with regulatory standards and ensure consistent product quality for domestic and international customers.

DCGpac stated that the new manufacturing unit is intended to complement its existing network of vendor and manufacturing partners rather than replace them. The company said the facility will help improve quality control, shorten product development timelines, and strengthen supply chain coordination while continuing to work with its broader partner ecosystem.

Commenting on the launch, Suresh Bansal, founder, DCGpac, said, “This manufacturing facility is a strategic milestone in our long-term vision of building a global, sustainability-first packaging ecosystem. Our partnership with UKHI and our backward integration into manufacturing allows us to control quality, scale faster, and deliver truly sustainable solutions to customers worldwide. We are not just building a factory, we are building future-ready supply chain infrastructure for the next generation of global commerce.”

DCGpac also said it plans to establish additional smart manufacturing facilities over the next five years under its Smart Manufacturing Model. The company added that the combined investment by DCGpac and its partners is expected to exceed INR 100 crore as it builds a distributed manufacturing ecosystem to meet growing demand in India and overseas markets.
