Comexi to showcase label and flexible packaging solutions at Labelexpo Europe 2025

-

Comexi, a global specialist in flexible packaging printing and converting, is set to unveil its latest innovations at Labelexpo Europe 2025, scheduled for 16–19 September in Barcelona. From stand 5G73, the company will present a broad array of solutions focused on accelerating label production, enabling greater customization, and supporting sustainability goals.

Among the highlights is the new Comexi D4 digital press, developed for short-run, fully personalized jobs. The press eliminates the need for printing plates and supports real-time design changes, offering increased agility and reduced time to market. Comexi will also display its Digiflex digital press, purpose-built for variable data printing applications such as product traceability, brand protection, and consumer engagement via QR or data matrix codes.

Strengthening its position in offset printing, Comexi will promote the CI Offset evolution press, a central drum solution designed for short runs and multiple SKUs. The press stands out for its reduced solvent use and emissions, addressing both quality and environmental demands.

In slitting and rewinding, Comexi will feature the S1DT and S2DT turret slitter rewinders. These systems can handle reel widths starting from 30 mm and are designed for integration with automated end-of-line systems – ideal for high-precision and high-efficiency converting.

F4 Origin – new generation of compact flexographic printing

The show will also mark the official debut of the Comexi F4 Origin, the fourth iteration of a compact flexo press line originally launched in 2010. Building on the success of more than 100 units sold, the new model has been reengineered to offer speeds of up to 400 m/min and a maximum width of 1,120 mm. A reinforced mechanical design and the GeniusRun system ensure consistent print quality even at narrow formats.

The upgraded GeniusDry drying system supports both solvent- and water-based inks, delivering improved energy efficiency through optimized airflow and minimized heat loss. The press now features an integrated control console, revised operator access points, and ergonomic enhancements – streamlining operation and maintenance.

Suited for both flexible packaging and labels, the F4 Origin supports a minimum print format of 240 mm, allowing label printers to transition into small-format flexible packaging jobs, including recyclable monomaterial pouches and other sustainable formats.

Live demonstrations and technology tours in girona

During Labelexpo, Comexi will host live technology demonstrations at its headquarters in Girona on 17 and 19 September 2025. These sessions will include a first-hand look at the F4 Origin, as well as demonstrations of Comexi’s offset, digital, and slitting technologies.

Additionally, on 15 September, the company will hold a special event to showcase its flagship F1 Evolution flexo press. Three live jobs – featuring solventless, water-based, and electron beam printing – will highlight the press’s performance, precision, and sustainable capabilities.
