Brilliant Polymers introduces new adhesive solutions at ElitePlus 2023

-

Brilliant Polymers, a leading manufacturer of laminating adhesives for flexible packaging, was a platinum sponsor at the esteemed 10th Specialty Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit 2023, hosted by ElitePlus. The summit attracted 1,900 attendees hailing from 20 countries and served as a prominent platform to showcase industry trends.

Gaurav Talwar, managing director, Brilliant Polymers, said, “Given our substantial customer base spanning India, the subcontinent, Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia, the ElitePlus event presented an ideal opportunity to engage with our existing clients and forge connections in our target markets.”

During the summit, Talwar delivered a presentation on ‘The Latest Advancements in Laminating Adhesives for Flexible Packaging.’ His talk addressed critical topics such as sustainability and food safety, focusing on cutting-edge developments in solvent-free and solvent-based adhesive technologies. Talwar also unveiled two innovative product lines, predicting that these offerings would be transformative for their customers.

The two product lines unveiled by Brilliant Polymers at ElitePlus were:

Brilliant Max Cure: This series introduces a new generation of fast-curing, solvent-free adhesives. Distinguished by its state-of-the-art formulations based on low monomer systems, Max Cure delivers rapid physical curing, a 48-hour PAA decay, stringent food safety compliance, and heightened environmental sustainability. Boasting a curing speed significantly surpassing current alternatives, Max Cure empowers converters to fill flexible packages swiftly and securely. Key benefits include rapid bond and heat seal strength development, facilitating speedy slitting and pouching, user-friendly application, extended pot life, impeccable optical appearance even at high running speeds, zero misting, excellent chemical and heat resistance, and compatibility with modern ink systems. Brilliant Max Cure has been introduced to a select clientele in India, with a global launch slated for the fourth quarter of 2023.

Brilliant HA960/A900: This cutting-edge adhesive is GLYMO-free and solvent-based, offering high-performance properties ideal for retort applications. Developed on aliphatic isocyanates, HA960/A900 eliminates concerns about the migration of PAA (primary aromatic amines) associated with adhesives relying on aromatic isocyanates. Designed as a modular system, it exhibits exceptional versatility. The base component can be combined with various hardeners to tailor performance properties for different applications, including sterilization, aggressive filling goods, and hot filling processes. Its application spectrum spans pet food, medical products, and convenience items. Brilliant HA960/A900 is expected to launch in India in the fourth quarter of 2023, followed by a global release shortly thereafter.
