Vinsak has taken a significant step forward in the Indian label printing industry with the launch of the Lombardi Smartline press at Print Panache, positioning it as an industry-first in the country. The launch builds on the momentum created by the successful rollout of the Lombardi I2 and further expands Vinsak’s innovative offerings for label converters.
The Lombardi Smartline press is a high-performance, entry-level solution tailored for precision production of pressure-sensitive paper and film labels. Built on the proven Lombardi Synchroline platform, the new press supports a web width of up to 450 mm and a printing width of 430 mm.
Equipped with servo-driven components, including the unwinder, infeed modules, and eight UV flexo printing stations, the Smartline ensures accurate web tension control and high-speed production with minimal downtime. Additional features include a die-cutting station and a servo-driven outfeed/rewinder, enhancing operational flexibility.
The system’s rail-mounted modular configuration includes delam-relam, air-assisted turn bar, and cold foil units – enabling Print Panache to offer a wide range of label finishes while maintaining consistent quality. Its mechatronic architecture reduces the number of mechanical transmission components such as gears and belts, resulting in lower maintenance and increased uptime.
Print Panache, with over three decades of industry presence and a daily production of one million labels and half a million cartons, serves over 1,200 clients across sectors such as food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and automotive. The company specializes in self-adhesive and pressure-sensitive labels as well as premium carton packaging.
“This marks our third Lombardi installation with Vinsak, and with each new addition, our trust in their technology and support continues to grow,” said Anuj Kumar Gupta, partner at Print Panache. Fellow partners Shaswat and Raghav Bansal added, “The Lombardi Smartline press will play a crucial role in enhancing our production capabilities and maintaining the high standards of quality we are known for.”
Massimo Lombardi, general manager of Lombardi Converting Machinery, Italy, said, “India has always been a key market with a special focus, and Print Panache, our key customer, consistently drives us to innovate.”
