On 24 June 2021, Iwasaki and Vinsak launched the TR3 semi-rotary web offset label printing press at a launch webinar hosted on Zoom. Five panelists moderated the entire event, and a flurry of questions from print and label enthusiasts indicated the event’s success. The panelists discussed the TR3 offset press and IF 330 flexo press in detail at the webinar, which around 100 participants attended.

The webinar presented the new Iwasaki solutions of intermittent offset TR3 and the IF 330 for producing short-run labels competitively. While the technical presentation was clear and concise about the products on offer, the panel discussion post had some interesting interactions with convertors discussing real use cases for the equipment and discussing the pros and cons of this technology vs. the digital label printing technology.

According to Vinsak, the TR 3 comes with new and improved features of more automation, a more extensive print area and a smaller footprint, enabling efficient production of short-run labels. The IF 330 offers converters who already have Flexo presses to use their existing pre-press, smaller plates, smaller dies and no tooling for producing their short-run labels efficiently.

Vinsak stated, “The audience appreciated the fact that Iwasaki offers a complete printing solution as well as converting of the labels. Existing Iwasaki users from India, the Middle East, and Europe were excited about the launch of the equipment being highly reliable and a very low cost of maintenance.”
