At Textile Fairs India, held at Pragati Maidan, UFlex’s Holography Business showcased a diverse range of products specifically tailored for the textile industry. In an exclusive interaction with The Packman magazine, Vinod Hariharan, executive vice president – Holography Business, UFlex, shared key insights into their latest innovations and industry focus.

Hariharan spoke about the textile sector’s focus, highlighting UFlex’s array of products, including sequins films and film stamping foils. He also emphasised the company’s commitment to sustainability, showcasing recyclable materials designed for the industry. “Our goal is to promote these innovations,” he said.

He elaborated on UFlex’s pivotal role in the textile accessories segment, primarily supplying films processed into diverse shapes for textile applications. He detailed key products such as sequins films for embroidery, textile-grade stamping foils, films for glitter powder, and hot melt films for T-shirt stickers and home furnishings.

In discussing UFlex’s holographic contribution to textiles, Hariharan stressed their dual role in brand protection and enhancement. He classified their offerings as “textile value-addition products,” distinct from their security labels and packaging films. He also highlighted UFlex’s comprehensive capabilities as one of the leading organized manufacturers in this segment.

Technological advancements remain pivotal for UFlex, with Hariharan spotlighting recent upgrades in mastering facilities crucial for transferring designs onto films. He noted their diverse holographic lens offerings, including specialised lenses like Fresnel lenses, primarily supplied to the packaging industry but indicative of UFlex’s advanced technological portfolio.

Addressing industry dynamics, Hariharan acknowledged the fashion sector’s ever-changing nature, emphasising the constant need for innovative designs. “You never know what you’ve developed might click at just the right moment,” he remarked, reflecting on the challenge of predicting market trends.

Looking ahead, Hariharan reiterated UFlex’s commitment to innovation in holography, essential for meeting evolving client demands and expanding their technological prowess. He supplemented this vision with insights into UFlex’s broader strategic initiatives, particularly in sustainability. “We are introducing a sustainable range of products across our business,” he said, citing recyclable sequins and holograms as key innovations.

In his concluding remarks, Hariharan positioned holography as an area with growth potential with strong leadership support.
