Joining him is Wei Yi, one of the greatest young talents in global chess, and India’s Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi, who led the national team to a historic gold medal at the 45th Chess Olympiad. The women’s line-up is further strengthened with former Women’s World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk and Chinese Grandmaster Zhu Jiner, currently ranked among the top five women players in China. The prodigy slot is taken by French Grandmaster Marc’Andria Maurizzi, winner of the 2023 World Junior Championship and the 2025 French Championship.
The team will once again be mentored by Dutch Grandmaster Loek van Wely, former National Coach of Italy, whose strategic leadership has played a pivotal role in TCK’s back-to-back championship wins. As part of this partnership, the UFlex branding will appear on the official jerseys of the Triveni Continental Kings players.
