Toyo Ink Group to spotlight safe package, print solutions at China Print

-

Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. and Toyo-Morton, Ltd., both members of the Toyo Ink Group, in collaboration with their five sister subsidiaries in China (Shanghai Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd., Tianjin Toyo Ink Co., Ltd., Shanghai Toyo Ink Co., Ltd., Jiangmen Toyo Ink Co., Ltd., and Toyo Ink Asia Ltd.) will jointly exhibit at Stand E3-005 a comprehensive lineup of innovative print solutions at China Print 2017. Specifically, the Toyo Ink Group of companies will focus on products and services that can help commercial and package printers realize safer packaging, higher performance products for high-productivity, and high-design materials for high-added value printings.

Safe packaging solutions
Today’s package printers and converters are faced with complex challenges to ensure consumer safety and regulatory compliance. To address these growing concerns, the Group will be showcasing a wide array of compliant, eco-friendly solutions that provide package printers with alternatives to solvent-based inks. Visitors to the Toyo Ink booth will be introduced to an updated lineup of eco-friendly water-based inks for flexible packaging films, including AQUAECOL gravure lamination inks, AQUA LIONA flexo reverse printing inks, and AQUA GRACE flexo surface printing inks. AQUABRIGHT water-based gravure inks can be applied to a wide range of paper substrates.
Also at China Print 2017, Toyo Ink will introduce the newly launched Elex-one series of electron beam (EB)-curable flexo inks, which are 100% solid—an industry first—and contain no VOCs or photoinitiators. Other products for the packaging sector range from VOC-free ECOAD laminating adhesives, high-performance TOMOFLEX laminating adhesives for retort pouch packages to the NEW MDK/CP metal decorative inks for can coatings, food-grade inks, among other innovative solutions for the Chinese market.

Print solutions for improved efficiency, eco-friendliness and visual impact
As a frontrunner in the development of advanced ultraviolet (UV) technology, the Toyo Ink Group continues to bring to market new UV solutions and expand its presence in this growing sector on a global scale. On display at China Print 2017 will be the Group’s popular FLASH DRY™ series of UV inks that cure instantly when exposed to ultraviolet light. The lineup includes the FLASH DRY LED and the FLASH DRY HS series, which are more sensitive to UV light, thus requiring less UV irradiation energy during the curing process. The FLASH DRY O-New series achieves excellent adhesion on various plastic materials.

Also featured at China Print 2017 will be the Group’s extensive range of varnishes and coating agents, from energy-saving UV-curable and eco-friendly water-based types as well as new UV screen-printed varnishes that deliver high-impact decorative effects. Other products for the commercial printing market includes the REXWIN™ JET BLACK series of carbon nanotube screen inks and a wide range of conventional sheetfed and web offset inks formulated to meet the latest VOCs standards, and many more solutions.

Inks and coatings for reliable functional performance
The Toyo Ink Group will showcase its functional materials (gravure inks and hard coats) engineered for printing on plastics in in-mold decorating systems. In addition, Liojet™ industrial inkjet inks, a series of highly specialized inks that deliver the required functional performance for a wide range of tough industrial applications. A team of ink specialists will be available at the booth to discuss these technologies and determine the optimal product to best match customer performance requirements. These and many more solutions from the Toyo Ink Group will be spotlighted at China Print 2017.

China Print 2017 will take place 9 to 13 May 2017 at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, China
