Jaipur-based Titu Prints has installed the PRPC 330 UV Digital Label Factory, supplied and commissioned by Packnology Graphics, as part of its expansion into roll label manufacturing and strengthening its packaging capabilities.

The company, with nearly four decades of experience in commercial printing, photo albums, and related products, is now setting its sights on labels as the next major growth avenue. With commercial printing witnessing a steady decline and the once-thriving photo market reaching a plateau, owner Mukesh Tanwani saw diversification into labels as the natural progression – aligning with evolving client demand and market trends.

Tanwani explained that the shift was driven by frequent client inquiries about sheet labels, which were costly, required manual application, and often resulted in creases. In contrast, roll-form labels can be applied using applicators, offering a faster process and delivering a more uniform, professional finish to products. “Customers desired labels that appeared real and uniform,” said Tanwani. “This was the right time to move.”

The PRPC 330 was chosen for its ability to integrate multiple processes within a single system. It supports White and CMYK printing, varnish, foil, and digital cutting—all in one setup. Competing solutions would require three or four separate machines and an equal number of operators, making the PRPC 330 a far more efficient and cost-effective choice. “With this machine, one operator can handle the entire workflow. It simplifies operations and cuts costs,” Tanwani explained.

The financial rationale behind the move was equally compelling. The investment amounted to roughly one-fourth the cost of comparable equipment available in the market, significantly lowering the entry barrier for roll label production. Packnology Graphics was selected not only for its advanced technology but also for the trust built over years of collaboration. The company had previously supplied two digital cutting machines, making this the third major investment in a strong and growing partnership.

The installation is expected to provide immediate and long-term benefits. In the medium term, it enables Titu Prints to transition from sheet to roll production and meet existing orders more effectively. In the long run, it prepares the company to enter the rising packaging and labelling markets, even as traditional printing contracts and customer expectations evolve quickly.

“It is not simply about matching current demand. It is about preparing for the future,” Tanwani explained.
