Founded in 1950, Gupta Printers, a leading packaging company, has recently invested substantially in a state-of-the-art Heidelberg Suprasetter A106 CtP. This acquisition represents the company’s latest commitment to enhancing its capabilities. The Suprasetter platesetter A106 CtP has been installed to facilitate in-house plate production.

Rajasekar, a Partner at Gupta Printers, emphasized the clarity of their decision when bringing prepress production in-house, stating, “Heidelberg was our unequivocal top preference.”

Gupta Printers is known for its extensive expertise in raw materials. The company offers comprehensive packaging solutions and is an ideal collaborator for businesses seeking outsourcing options for packing and box design requirements. Gupta Printers excels in the production of printed cartons, packaging boxes, brochures, printed labels, sweet boxes, shirts, and packaging for sarees, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and gift boxes.

Rajasekar said, “We are in the expansion mode, have shifted to our 15,000 sq/ft production facility, and are looking forward to additional development.” The Sivakasi-based print specialist also owns a Heidelberg CD 102 Speedmaster 6 + L press and two die-cutter and cutting equipment on the shopfloor – the company caters to packaging jobs across various segments.

The Suprasetter A106 has a minimum plate format of 370 mm in height and 323 mm in width, along with an internal punch supporting up to 4 pairs of punches. The integrated workflow in the Heidelberg Suprasetter A106 includes the Prinect Prepress Manager, Prinect Meta Dimension, and Prinect Shooter.

Its modular design provides optimal flexibility for the medium-size format range. The Intelligent Diode System (IDS) effectively minimizes production losses, while an integrated cooling system safeguards against adverse effects from external temperatures.

Gupta Printers is confident that this investment will enable it to meet the increasing demand effectively. Rajasekar concluded, “The Heidelberg Suprasetter has significantly elevated our productivity on a larger scale.”
