Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging and labels, has launched Cirkit Novaseal, a portfolio of heat-seal lacquers within its Cirkit coatings brand. Available from May 2026, the range is designed for fiber-based and selected flexible packaging applications, and is said to support brand owners and converters in moving toward more recyclability-focused packaging designs.
The new product family brings together heat-sealing technologies that Siegwerk says were developed in part through its acquisition of Allinova, consolidating them under a single product brand.
Cirkit Novaseal lacquers are designed to deliver consistent sealing, hot-tack performance, and bond strength across a range of packaging applications. According to the company, the portfolio covers multiple performance profiles and is optimized for gravure and flexographic printing processes, as well as varying sealing temperature requirements. Variants include formulations with low seal initiation temperatures, high hot-tack performance for high-speed packaging lines, and high bond strength at low coating weights.
As part of the Cirkit brand, the Novaseal range is positioned around circularity principles. The portfolio is targeted at paper-based packaging and selected flexible applications, with the aim of enabling functional performance while supporting recyclable packaging formats.
“Cirkit Novaseal is a key milestone in strengthening our coatings offering for sustainable packaging,” said Gilles Le Moigne, head of circular economy coatings at Siegwerk. “By unifying our heat-sealing expertise under one strong product brand, we make it easier for customers to navigate performance requirements while aligning with circular economy goals.”
Siegwerk said the structured portfolio approach is intended to simplify product selection and enhance transparency for converters. Cirkit Novaseal solutions are currently available, supported by the company’s technical service and application teams.
