Steinemann DPE appoints Weldon Celloplast as agent in India

-

Steinemann DPE, a Kurz company based in St. Gallen, Switzerland, that develops and builds industrial, high-end digital print embellishment machines for the graphic arts industry, has appointed Weldon Celloplast as its agent in India.

According to the company, Kurz/Steinemann DPE offers digital embellishment possibilities through coordinated system solutions consisting of machines, consumables, service, and software. The company said its digital print enhancement solutions are designed to address industry challenges including fast changeover times for increasingly smaller lot sizes; profitable production of small and medium-sized repeat orders while avoiding high inventory costs for on-demand orders; faster availability of finished packaging to brand owners through quicker turnaround from design and printing through embellishment and delivery; and greater flexibility in implementing brand owners’ trends and design requirements on packaging, including last-minute changes during production.

Kurz India is part of the Kurz Group, which the company describes as a worldwide leader in thin film technology with over 5,800 employees. Kurz develops and manufactures decorative and functional coatings applied to carrier foils, used across a range of products including automotive components, cell phones, TVs, washing machines, furniture, packaging, books, textiles, bottle labels, bank cards, and more.

Weldon Celloplast, based in New Delhi, is a total solutions provider to the label industry, representing manufacturers of printing equipment, tooling, inspection, and waste management systems, in addition to offering tamper-evident security label materials. Founded in 1982, the company provides sales and service support for the machinery and systems of the brands it represents.

KD Sahni, managing director of Weldon, said, “Kurz/Steinemann DPE is offering unique digital embellishment equipment for both sheet and roll form converting of packaging. We look forward to a great collaboration with Kurz Group to enable our printers in embellishing the package for their demanding customers.”
