Siegwerk India wins two IFCA Star Awards

Siegwerk, one of the leading global providers of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications, was honored at the IFCA Star Awards 2021 for its innovative breakthrough in the flexible packaging ecosystem. Indian Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton Manufacturers Association (IFCA) is a nationally eminent organization with members from prominent ink suppliers, converters, and brand owners in India. The award ceremony was held in New Delhi while adhering to the government’s laid Covid safety protocols.

The flagship award ceremony is a prestigious industry recognition event, where hundreds of new technologies and products are nominated across numerous award categories, with participation from the best of the flexible packaging industry. Siegwerk India was awarded for two of its best-in-class products at the event for their Innovation. The Food safe, novel Glow in the Dark inks for product differentiation and the NC-free inks for pharmaceutical packaging applications, have won the IFCA star awards post scrutiny by a national panel of industry experts. The nominations from across the value chain in flexible packaging were evaluated by the panel of experts and these two were chosen as the best in raw materials under the innovation/creativity category.

Ramakrishna Karanth, CEO, Siegwerk India said, “It is a distinct honor to be recognized by IFCA and the flexible packaging industry for our new products. With IFCA 2021 observing an intense competition, this is a welcome recognition of our efforts and a delightful way to end 2021. We are looking forward to delivering more innovation-backed disruptive solutions to the national and global packaging industries in 2022.”

N Ramasubramanian, head of technology, flexible packaging; and Sughosh Bhore, senior manager, Siegwerk India received the award at the ceremony.
