Nagpur-based Goodwill Packaging Works has become the first adopter in India of the automated SZFM-1200W water-based cold window lamination machine introduced by SASG UV Solutions. Since its inception in 2000, Goodwill Packaging Works has been producing a range of finished packaging products such as snack boxes, sweets boxes and compacted boxes, among others.
SASG UV Solutions, a manufacturer and supplier of UV curing systems, chilling plants, rigid box making machines, and an array of associated equipment, is expanding its product portfolio with the addition of this new machine from Aoli Wenzhou.
“Well, we are really proud to be the first owner of the advanced and automated SZFM-1200W water-based cold window lamination machine from SASG, which is the first-of-its-kind laminator ever installed in our facility,” said Qutbuddin Ali, proprietor of Goodwill Packaging Works. He added that the new window laminator has changed the whole game of cold lamination at Goodwill Packaging Works when it comes to speed, accuracy, and the overall automation in the process.
Ali said, “SZFM-1200W, which we started running just recently, has benchmarked a new paradigm of cold lamination in our production facility. Fully automated, this water-based window lamination machine is fast in speed. Now, we complete jobs more rapidly and efficiently than ever after the installation of SZFM-1200W. We have been running four other conventional or non-automated cold lamination machines. SZFM-1200W is now doing faster job than what the four laminators do collectively, because it’s highly automated.”
Engineered for cold water-based glue lamination with two functions of window lamination and non-window lamination, SZFM-1200W can laminate at a maximum speed of 100 m/min. It’s highly user-friendly with its electrical appliance is centralized by a programmable system. It can manage non-stop feeding with an automated high-speed pneumatic offset feeder and a well-designed pre-stacking system, which eventually improves work efficiency.
SZFM-1200W’s accurate servo-controlled lap within ±2 mm perfectly synchronizes with feeder. Also, its high-accuracy front lay and pneumatic side lay regulator ensure accurate and stable position. Equipped with photo-electrically controlled automatic shutdown protection devices for managing paper shortage and such issues, SZFM-1200W has an emerging coating system that saves glue and easily controls the coating amount. Two sets of glue coating systems in the machine are specially designed for both window lamination and non-window lamination.
Ali said, “There are many features and capabilities of this cold window laminator from SASG which we have not yet fully explored. For example, the heating lamps in the machine ensure that it can work efficiently in the peak winter or extremely cold weather.” When it comes to high accuracy, SZFM-1200W features perforation knife cooperating with pneumatic differential pull and separating device to cut sheets perfectly.
