Printpanache Packaging Solutions (PPS) has installed a brand new Rhyguan SMART-450, supplied and commissioned by Flexo Image Graphics (FIG). The company represents a select portfolio of reputed international brands of flexographic presses and associated equipment in the Indian subcontinent.

With three decades of experience and a customer base of over 1,245, Kundli (Haryana)-based Printpanache Packaging Solutions (PPS) produces around 10 lakh labels and two lakh shrink sleeves daily at its modern production facility. The company continues to strengthen its operations with regular upgrades, the latest being the installation of a Rhyguan SMART-450 slitting and rewinding system equipped with a Luster camera for 100% fault detection.

With this installation, FIG continues to expand its base of Rhyguan machines across India, partnering with prominent printing and packaging players such as PPS. Earlier this year, FIG celebrated a major milestone – the installation of its 100th Rhyguan machine in the country – and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

Shashwat Bansal, managing partner at Printpanache Packaging Solutions, says, “We are extremely excited and satisfied with the performance and outcome of the newly installed Rhyguan SMART-450 high-speed slitting and rewinding machine in our facility. The Luster camera in the machine detects and rejects defects. This machine is ideally an absolute automated system for adding new value to varied products of our customers, which in turn helps them sell their brands and boost businesses faster than ever.”

According to Bansal, Rhyguan SMART-450 slitter-rewinder with Luster 100% inspection camera from FIG is highly user-friendly and robustly built with advanced servo technology, providing perfect web control in which web tension is separately adjustable for the unwind and rewind sections. Certainly, this Rhyguan machine of 450mm web width is a high-speed slitter-rewinder machine with re-inspection up to 300m/min.

Packed with many other advanced features and capabilities, Rhyguan SMART-450 is standard fitted with high-precision slitting knives that can compatibly slit wide varieties of materials, suitable for diverse applications. An automated capability of the machine is that all faulty products, for example, labels, will not proceed further; all of them will stop on the machine’s inspection table automatically. This is how operators can take action easily and productively before proceeding to slit the products.

“In addition to Rhyguan SMART-450, we are quite happy with FIG’s after-sales service support and their team’s all-time cordial cooperation to make the most of the machine’s capabilities,” says Shashwat. “Smitten by this absolute slitter-rewinder and unconditional service of FIG, we are planning to get just another Rhyguan machine soon from them in a few months.” FIG has a dedicated ‘Customer Support Department’ which is formed by connecting its head office in Delhi with Mumbai and Chennai branches to serve every single customer across the country.

A sister concern of Shree Balaji Printers, PPS serves a diverse customer base across sectors such as food and beverage, personal care, household goods, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. The company’s offerings include self-adhesive and pressure-sensitive labels, along with promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and pamphlets.
