Mumbai-based Numex, a flexo prepress bureau, has further differentiated its business by adding another CDI Spark 4260 to its flexo imaging portfolio in addition to a Kongsberg cutting table driven by Digital Flexo Suite for flexo plate cutting.

Numex specializes in the production of plates for printing of flexible packaging and labels for the food and beverage industries as well as other sectors. Established more than 25 years ago, Numex has always been committed to providing its customers with the highest quality plates.

“Esko has been a key Numex partner since decades,” says Nitin Patil, business owner of Numex. “We already have two CDI large size imagers, 5080 Cantilever and 4260 Spark respectively, as well as the entire state-of-the-art prepress software solution from Esko (including PackEdge, Plato, DeskPack, Studio, Automation Engine and Imaging Engine). This end-to-end, highly automated workflow has allowed us to provide exceptional customer service and differentiate ourselves in the marketplace with high and reliable quality. Now, with our new CDI SPARK 4260 with Kongsberg X22 plate cutting solution along with digital flexo suite, we are taking quality and customer service to yet a higher level.”

Patil added, “In addition to the automation and increased capacity achieved with the new flat top plate by nature in LAMS digital plate, CDI Spark 4260 flexo plate production system highly reduces the complexity in the plate room. The Esko CDI SPARK 4260, on top of producing the perfect plate for all flexo print applications, it also gives the option of securely holding flexo plates of different thickness with the help of pneumatic easy clamp system on the drum.”

“Our long-time business relationship with Numex has been valuable to both parties,”said Arnab Maiti, country manager, South Asia of Esko. “We are delighted they again trusted Esko to implement the CDI SPARK 4260 with Kongsberg X22 plate cutting flexo plate production solution, making their company a showcase of the benefits of an end-to-end Esko workflow.
