Manik Printpack India, headquartered in Faridabad, has installed a Bobst folder-gluer into its recently inaugurated facility in Prithla village, Palwal district, Haryana. The new establishment, situated near the company’s existing plants, consolidates the operations of three previous facilities, streamlining print production under a unified roof. The company has also made an additional investment in a VLF thermal CtP machine by Cron, facilitating an in-house platemaking process.
The newly installed Bobst NovaFold 110 A2 at Manik Printpack India is equipped with 4 & 6 corner attachments and a corrugation kit. Capable of producing a variety of box styles in different materials, the NovaFold operates at speeds up to 350 meters per minute.

Mittal emphasized the prevailing industry tendency of diminishing profit margins despite a surge in demand. Recognizing the significance of increasing volume, he highlighted the company’s strategic approach to enhance productivity and output for greater cost savings and profitability.
“To achieve this, we are directing our efforts towards the integration of automated machines. The heightened emphasis on productivity has prompted increased investments in cutting-edge equipment and technology. This strategic move aims to elevate the operational agility, quality, and overall competitiveness of the business. The decision to invest in the Bobst folder gluer aligns seamlessly with our overarching goal of boosting productivity, addressing market challenges such as diminishing profit margins,” Mittal said.
Regarding the new plant, Mittal explained that the consolidation of three plants into one aims to improve overall productivity by 30-40% using existing machinery. The facility, covering 100,000 sq ft (32,000 sq ft per shop floor), allows for future expansion with an additional 50,000 sq ft.
Manik Printpack India currently operates six printing machines – three Komoris, one Heidelberg, and two Planetas – six corrugation machines, six automatic die-cutting machines, and five folder-gluers. Additionally, the company plans to add another automatic die-cutting machine in 2024. The company converts approximately 400 tonnes of duplex, 100 tons of FBB, and 200 tonnes of craft paper, totaling 700 tonnes monthly. Mittal has disclosed plans to enhance productivity, aiming for a target of 1,000 tonnes in 2024.
Primarily catering to the First Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) sector with packaging solutions for items like tube lights and LED bulbs, the company plans to diversify into other segments once the new plant becomes fully operational within the next three months. Mittal highlighted the FMCG sector as a key target, aiming to provide high-quality carton packaging.
