Konica Minolta, a global pioneer in label printing technology, has successfully concluded its participation at Labelexpo India 2024, from 14 – 17 November 2024. Owing to Konica Minolta’s legacy AccurioLabel series, along with associated technologies, the exhibition added impetus to the creation of technological access for print businesses of all sizes, from established converters to emerging entrepreneurs.

The exhibition featured three comprehensive demo sessions each day. Each session included detailed presentations on the technical specifications and capabilities of the AccurioLabel series, followed by guided walk-throughs of the application areas. Visitors had the opportunity to witness live machine demonstrations, where expert technicians showcased real-time label printing across various substrates and applications, highlighting the systems’ versatility and precision.

At Labelexpo 2024, Konica Minolta presented its flagship AccurioLabel 400, a digital label press featuring CMYK plus white toner capabilities, impressive print speeds of up to 39.9 meters per minute. The system offers enhanced automation tools and can handle single jobs up to 3000 meters, making it ideal for food, beverage, cosmetics, and industrial labels. Adjacent to this, the AccurioLabel 230 was showcased, delivering speeds of 23.4 meters per minute with reduced warm-up time and an optional over-print kit for preprinted media. The AL230 excels in printing on tack papers and films, handling roll materials up to 600mm diameter and single jobs up to 1000 linear meters.

Both systems are complemented by AccurioPro Flux software for streamlined workflow automation and feature advanced color management capabilities. The presses demonstrated remarkable substrate versatility, supporting standard label stocks while maintaining consistent print quality and color accuracy. These solutions particularly cater to the growing demands for personalization, shorter delivery times, and on-demand printing runs, adding wind to the sail of emerging and established print businesses.

Commenting on the exhibition success, Ashok Sethi, chief sales officer production & industrial printing business at Konica Minolta Business Solution India, said, “Labelexpo 2024 has reinforced our commitment to democratizing advanced printing technology. We are particularly proud that a significant portion of our new partnerships are with small and medium-sized businesses, many of whom are first-time entrants into digital label printing. Compounding on our previous efforts, Konica Minolta’s digital solutions have generated a ripple interest across the industry, where new print entrepreneurs, local substrate manufacturers, software integration partners, print equipment vendors, and regional distribution partners stood as key beneficiaries of Konica Minolta’s label and digital printing prowess.”

Pawan Chauhan, head of industrial print sales division, added, “The response at Labelexpo 2024 has been overwhelming. We had an overall footfall of 700+ customers at our stall and we hope to have created a good experience for them via extensive, yet engaging presentations followed by rigorous machine demonstrations & walk through to the sample displays. This event was a huge success for us in terms of customer engagement, funnel creation & the numbers were a true testament of the industry’s trust in our technology and validates our position as a leading provider of digital label printing solutions.”

The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic engagement, with substantial visitor footfall at the Konica Minolta stand over the four-day exhibition. The daily demo sessions were consistently well-attended, with participants showing particular interest in the AccurioLabel 400 demonstrations, which included continuous live printing sessions and numerous unique prints across diverse substrate types. The white toner applications particularly impressed visitors, with stunning samples across various luxury packaging applications demonstrating the technology’s potential for high-end market segments.

In line with Konica Minolta’s commitment to sustainable printing practices, the presented digital solutions established reduction in material waste compared to traditional methods, alongside impressive energy efficiency improvements. The company’s toner recycling program garnered strong participation during the show, and numerous converters committed to joining Konica Minolta’s comprehensive sustainability program.
