JDC Graphics, Sri Lanka, and Digiflex, India, have formed a strategic joint venture to establish a wide network of digital flexo pre-press and plate-making units across key metro cities and regions in India. The partnership aims to deliver advanced solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the packaging industry.

The joint operation combines JDC’s extensive experience and reputation as a leading supplier of advanced machinery, materials, and services with Digiflex’s expertise in providing high-quality prepress solutions. “This partnership with Digiflex is a great opportunity for us to step into the Indian market,” said Chandula Perera, managing director of JDC. “Together, we aim to replicate our success in Sri Lanka, where we are the market leader. This venture will also help Digiflex in the Sri Lankan market.”

The partnership is unique because it leverages JDC’s expertise in wide-web flexo printing segment, flexo zones and pre-press design, which is considered one of the finest facilities in Southeast Asia, with Digiflex’s strong presence in the corrugation segment in India with the state-of-the-art facility. This collaboration will also facilitate the transfer of JDC’s skilled engineering team and advanced digital equipment sales knowledge to the larger Indian market.

Muralidhar Nalli, CEO at Digiflex, said, “Indian customers will benefit from a full-service solution, receiving high-quality prepress services and flexo plates, including high-definition flexo plates up to 350 LPI, which will help them compete with gravure standards.”

The collaboration marks a significant step for both companies, enabling them to provide an end-to-end solution for the label and flexible packaging sectors, offer customer service with faster turnaround time, and a robust workforce of over 100+ experts who can efficiently exchange resources and expertise between teams in India and Sri Lanka.
