IST METZ celebrates 40th anniversary

-

For more than four decades, IST METZ GmbH has been manufacturing presses and coatings for UV and UV curing. Nürtingen’s mechanical engineer will celebrate its 40th anniversary on 15 May in the course of its in-house exhibition UV DAYS.

On 15 May, the management of IST METZ invites employees, customers, exhibitors and partners to celebrate the 40th anniversary. The UV DAYS offer an appropriate framework. Since its launch in 2002, the event has become the world’s largest in-house exhibition for UV and LED technology. With over 800 visitors from all over the world and more than 45 renowned exhibitors and industry partners, Nürtingen is regularly the center of the printing industry every two years.

From niche business to industry leader
The excellent curing properties of inks and varnishes under UV light were discovered in the late 1960s. The IST METZ GmbH of today was founded in 1977 and developed early UV systems for curing varnishes on furniture. From a niche business over the decades a globally operating group of companies and one of the best suppliers and providers of UV systems has developed.

The products are currently used in printing presses, but also for curing coatings on automotive parts or small parts for cosmetics, for example. UV technology from IST METZ scores highly in numerous other industries which demand rapid production, immediate further processing and extremely high-quality coatings.
