The packaging industry witnessed a remarkable event with the inauguration of the first edition of the IntraPac India Exhibition on 14 March 2024, held at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. The ceremony, graced by the presence of heads of various federations, associations, international institutions, special invitees, exhibitors, visitors, office bearers, and members of the Governing Council of IPAMA, marked the beginning of an insightful and productive event.

Jaiveer Singh, president of the Association IPAMA, delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for an enriching experience. Following the inauguration ceremony, delegates had the opportunity to explore the exhibition, engage with exhibitors, and delve into discussions on various facets of the packaging industry.

The profile of the exhibition encompassed a wide array of sectors including plastic packaging, metal packaging, glass packaging, paper packaging, capping, filling, sealing, bio-degradable packaging, protective packaging, mono cartons, corrugated packaging, die-casting, labeling, traceability & tracking, logistics, aseptic packaging, film, molding, and many more, showcasing the diversity and innovation prevalent in the industry.

The exhibition attracted a total of 13,065 visitors comprising senior and middle officials, reflecting the immense interest and significance of the event. Spanning across 10,335 square meters of gross area and 5,167 square meters covered by 175 Exhibitors of net area, the exhibitors are from all the aforesaid segments provided an expansive platform for interaction and collaboration.

Feedback from 175 exhibitors lauded the event as “Excellent” to “Good,” with only a minority deeming it “Average,” considering it was the inaugural edition. The majority of exhibitors and business visitors commended the arrangements made by IPAMA as “Excellent” to “Good,” underscoring the meticulous planning and execution.

Looking ahead, IPAMA expressed its eagerness to organize an even grander 2nd edition of IntraPac India, building upon the success of the inaugural event. Dates for the next edition will be announced in consultation with the Governing Council of the Association and shared on relevant platforms for wider dissemination.

IPAMA’s commitment to fostering participation from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was evident through subsidized rates for exhibitors, enabling broader representation within the industry. Additionally, complimentary services including lunch coupons, water bottles, and shuttle services from Botanical Garden, Noida to India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, were provided for the convenience of exhibitors and visitors, further enhancing the overall experience.

During the exhibition, two conferences were organized in collaboration with Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA) and the Indian Institute of Packaging, offering valuable insights and networking opportunities for attendees.
