During the sixth edition of the LMAI (Label Manufacturers Association of India) Conference, scheduled to take place in Jaipur from 20 to 23 July 2023, hubergroup will announce its relaunched UV flexo portfolio – iray – and showcase its capabilities to the diverse printing industry contingent. The new series iray, which replaces hubergroup’s NewV flex series, is designed as a one-stop portfolio for UV flexo printing. The comprehensive, high-performance system features UV flexo inks for food as well as non-food applications and also includes perfectly matched varnishes, primers, and adhesives.
iray reflects hubergroup’s strategic approach to meaningfully simplify printers’ workflow by consolidating an assortment of UV flexo printing offerings under a single ink system. The newest addition are UV-curable inks and varnishes designed exclusively for food packaging applications. Backed by intensive research and thoughtfully selected raw materials, the inks match hubergroup’s stringent MGA (low migration and low odor) guidelines, which have long been synonymous with safe application on food packaging.
The fast-curing iray products with properties like high scratch resistance, excellent adhesion, low odor, and high ink yields perform well and cover multiple applications. Rigorous laboratory tests have ensured that iray inks and varnishes are deinkable on both film and paper substrates, thus ensuring their environmental compatibility. In addition, the PMV department of the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, certified that the products are well-deinkable on paper using INGEDE method 11.
