GLS Group, a leading global packaging company, and Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a strategic relationship that will drive packaging innovation and sustainability into the next phase of growth.

In this collaboration, GLS Group and IIP will jointly identify specific contextual research themes and projects, forming research teams on a project-to-project basis. Additionally, they will collaborate to design and implement industry-focused sustainable packaging programs and training initiatives. The MoU sets broad aims, including mutual recognition as research collaborators and service suppliers. Both institutions agreed to share facilities and resources for research purposes, conduct joint research in designated fields of interest, and organize meaningful events such as seminars and conferences.

Anticipated outcomes encompass joint research projects with industrial applications, knowledge upgradation, and the enhancement of research capabilities. The collaboration aims to develop standardized platforms to meet future research requirements, fostering joint patents and publications resulting from collaborative efforts.

Both organizations eagerly anticipate a fruitful collaboration that will not only shape the future of packaging research but also inspire industry-wide advancements.
