At Printpack India 2025, Galvomaster showcased its latest innovation – a state-of-the-art solvent recovery system. Speaking about the product, Bhupendra Srivastava of Galvomaster explained, “This is a vertical solvent recovery system, completely developed and manufactured in our factory here in India. It features a 304 stainless steel body and incorporates cutting-edge technology, including a vertical conical design and a strapping system to prevent scaling on the body.”

He emphasized the system’s efficiency, highlighting its vacuum mechanism that enables solvent recycling at lower temperatures. “Even the condenser, which has a dual-jacket design, was created in-house,” he said. The company has aggressively priced the product to cater to the Indian market, making it a cost-effective alternative to imported distillation systems from Germany or Italy, which are both expensive and challenging to service, said Srivastava.

Srivastava elaborated on the motivations behind developing this product, saying, “The distillation systems available in India are all imported, and customers face long waits for spare parts during breakdowns. Our goal was to address the specific needs of flexographic trade shops, which require solutions for processing solvents like nylosol and photosol. Additionally, there is a significant demand in the ink manufacturing, paint, and coating industries, which we are targeting with this product.”

Expanding product line

In addition to the solvent recovery system, Galvomaster has introduced a range of chillers under the Galvomaster brand. “We are manufacturing chillers ranging from 3 TR to 20 TR capacities,” shared Srivastava. “The 3 and 5 TR models are already in production and are seeing significant demand. As the market evolves, we will expand our offerings to meet future requirements.”

The growing Indian market

When asked about the state of the Indian market, Srivastava was optimistic. “The Indian market is growing exponentially, especially in the packaging sector,” he said. “The rise in individual income levels has led to increased consumption of packaged goods such as snacks and FMCG products. This growth drives the packaging industry, which is expanding at an annual rate of 8 to 9%.”

Experience at Printpack India

Reflecting on the company’s participation in Printpack, Srivastava expressed his satisfaction. “Printpack has always been a good platform for us. Over the years, we have transitioned from being a trading company to a product company, offering solutions that promote sustainability in printing and packaging.”

Srivastava revealed plans for future innovations, including a chiller system tailored for the gravure industry. “In gravure printing, solvents tend to evaporate in high-heat environments. Our chiller system will help control evaporation rates, reducing solvent wastage,” he explained. Another upcoming product is an automatic parts-washing system. “Currently, machine parts are cleaned manually in a conventional manner. Our system will automate this process, using solvents that can later be cleaned through our recovery system,” he added. This innovation promises improved efficiency, reduced human involvement, and quicker turnaround times.
