The DuPont Cyrel Flexographic Solutions team was honored with the Indian Flexible Packaging & Folding Carton Manufacturers Association (IFCA) Star Award 2024 during the ceremony held on 12 December at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) in Mumbai. The Cyrel South Asia team accepted the award in the presence of key players from the printing and packaging industry.

DuPont’s newly launched Cyrel Easy Fast EFM has won the prestigious IFCA Star Award in the category of Innovations Leading to Sustainability. With sustainability as a key driver for the global print market, brands are opting to replace plastics with paper and using recycled paper for their packaging. Cyrel Easy Fast EFM photopolymer plates are optimized to deliver excellent print results on a wide variety of paper substrates—including coated, uncoated, rough, and recycled papers. Additionally, FAST thermal processing offers a safer work environment through the reduced use of solvents, energy efficiency and increased productivity in plate processing.

The Cyrel Easy Fast EFM photopolymer plate enables the paper bag, tag and label, envelope, paper napkin, folding carton and corrugation industries to use greater volumes of recycled content in their paper substrates.

With this recognition, Cyrel Flexographic Solutions seeks to further introduce innovative and sustainable solutions to the market, leveraging groundbreaking technologies that ensure reliability without compromising print quality results.

The IFCA Star Awards is a renowned platform dedicated to honoring innovation and creativity in the packaging industry. These awards recognize exceptional accomplishments in the flexible packaging and folding carton sectors, emphasizing innovation, creativity, and sustainability. The IFCA Star Awards place a strong focus on sustainability, acknowledging the efforts of packaging companies to minimize their environmental impact.

The IFCA awards motivate companies and individuals to expand the possibilities within packaging, leading to advancements that benefit consumers, the environment, and the economy. Additionally, the awards elevate industry standards, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
