Comexi announces key changes in global leadership

-

Continuing with the succession plan initiated eight years ago, the ownership and the Board of Directors have decided that on 1 May 2025, Pau Xifra will assume the presidency of Comexi, taking over from the current president, Manel Xifra, who will continue to collaborate as a member of the Board of Directors.

Jose M Pastor, current strategy and transformation director of the group, will take on the role of managing director of Comexi. Pau Xifra, after a long career in the world of strategic consulting, joined the Comexi Board in 2018 , in 2022 was appointed director of strategy and transformation and as managing director in 2023, from where he has led the company’s adaptation to current market needs, strengthening Comexi’s position in the flexible packaging sector, achieving very positive results in terms of both sales and profitability.

Jose M Pastor, with extensive experience in family businesses in different sectors, joined Comexi a year ago as director of strategy and transformation. During this period, he has driven the company’s strategy and implemented its transformative projects.

Manel Xifra , current president of Comexi, wanted to highlight that this change is part of a generational handover that has been carefully prepared, with the aim not only of guaranteeing the continuity of the project, but of going a step further, a new stage of growth and consolidation , and continue as a family business. “Seventy years after the foundation of our company, we are in an exciting moment, experiencing moments of great change, and we believe that it is good that a new generation, with new ideas and ways of doing things, will take over the leadership of the organization in order to face these challenges and achieve even more ambitious goals.”

“I am very grateful to the Board and the ownership for their trust. It makes me very happy to be able to continue the legacy of all those who have made Comexi what it is today, a world leader in flexible packaging solutions. My responsibility is to continue building on these solid foundations and contributing to the growth of this great company. I know that, with the talent and dedication of the entire team, we have a future full of opportunities that we will seize successfully,” says Pau Xifra.

Jose M Pastor, highlights that “I face this challenge with great responsibility, enthusiasm, ambition and appreciation. I will work and dedicate all my efforts to continue implementing the defined strategy, relying on the strength of our human team and with the ambition to continue growing, consolidating the positive trajectory of recent years.”
