Chetan Jain, executive director of Taurus Packaging, launched his book – 5 Myths About Sustainable Shrink Sleeve – at the recently concluded Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit, Mumbai, organized by ElitePlus.

The book provides insight about shrink sleeves in the sustainability of the Global Plastic Recycling Movement – and a fresh perspective on what could be the opportunities in existing situations to be part of the sustainable world. Sustainability in shrink sleeves has been a debatable question so far, and in today’s world, recycling plastic is not just an option but it is the need of the hour. Through this book, Jain has tried to throw some light on the misconceptions prevailing in the packaging industry.

Jain said, “This book is a must-read for packaging professionals who want to explore the opportunities in sustainable packaging. You will discover the key three points in this book – shrink sleeves and their recycling effects; PVC to PETG easy transition; and global sustainable shrink sleeves trends.”

Jain added that the book also uncovers the issues in the sustainable packaging world that hinder the knowledge of all existing opportunities and ways to explore. “It will also help you to understand the technical aspects of converting operations to inculcate the global trends. This book will guide you to understand the recycling process and its practical application with shrink sleeves,” he said.

The book is available for pre-order on Amazon and Flipkart. In the past, Jain also authored another book – ‘Sleeve it right – 7 secrets of shrink sleeve not known to India’s FMCG business.’
