Manish Kapoor, sales head, Nilpeter India, at LMAI Conference 2023

At the LMAI Conference 2023 held at Jaipur, Manish Kapoor, sales head, Nilpeter India, delivered a captivating presentation titled ‘Label Ki Baat’, where he skillfully explored the intricate interplay of the bottom line, technological innovation, and sustainability within the Indian label printing landscape. Kapoor also fearlessly addressed a crucial topic – the downward pricing pressure of India’s label industry. Through his insightful discourse, Kapoor illuminated the path toward enduring success, responsible practices, and future sustainability in the dynamic and price-sensitive Indian label printing market.

Kapoor emphasized, “In this moment, I would like to share my heartfelt sentiments. How many among you hold the belief in the enduring viability of the Indian label industry? With a professional journey spanning back to 1993 in the label machinery sector, I have consistently provided guidance to my clientele to the best of my abilities. Over time, I have come to recognize that our industry operates akin to a process of reverse osmosis, resembling a semi-permeable membrane. While valuable advice does manage to permeate, its progress is gradual.”

He proceeded by highlighting, “It appears there has been an intense race to achieve greater top-line figures within the industry, often overlooking the associated consequences. Merely fixating on boosting revenues without equal attention to our bottom-line results cannot yield business sustainability. To achieve that, a forward-looking perspective is imperative. The path to long-term viability unequivocally involves embracing innovation, initiating innovative endeavors in the present moment. Through innovation, a cycle of continuous improvement unfolds, fostering creation and ultimately establishing sustainability. However, the question arises – what actions should we undertake? The answer lies in proactively addressing the bottom line, for ultimately, that is the pivotal determinant.”

In his ‘Label Ki Baat’ address, Kapoor recounted Nilpeter’s narrative – a journey interwoven with technological advancements. “Our pursuit of excellence is deliberate, leaving no room for chance. Technology is harnessed to serve humanity, not the reverse. Meticulous attention to intricacies, precision, and distinctiveness all contribute to creating value universally. Our foremost commitment is to develop superior printing technology by placing quality at the forefront. This commitment extends to delivering identical quality to you, regardless of your location. This is our identity! Our intention is to share our profound expertise with you. Can you perceive the smiles on our faces? We aspire to evoke those smiles in you as well. This is Nilpeter – your printing partner!”

Kapoor fervently encouraged all attendees to draw inspiration from this narrative, one that has sustained Nilpeter as a resilient family enterprise for over a century.
