Borouge International inaugurates new Mumbai office

Borouge International has opened a new office in Mumbai, marking what the company describes as a significant milestone in its growth in one of its fastest-growing markets. The move reflects the company’s stated commitment to India and the broader Asia-Pacific region as key drivers of future growth.

The office was inaugurated by Roland Janssen, senior vice president, global sales and marketing at Borouge International, along with the company’s Asia South leadership team, with key partners in attendance. The event was framed around strengthening local engagement, building partnerships and supporting customer growth in India.

Located in Mumbai, India’s commercial and financial capital, the new office will serve as a hub to deepen customer engagement, enhance market responsiveness and support long-term partnerships across the country.

Borouge International’s presence in India spans more than 25 years, beginning with the opening of its first office in Mumbai in 1999. Over the years, the company has built relationships with customers and partners across the country, supporting sectors including infrastructure, energy, packaging and agriculture through polyolefin solutions, technical expertise and supply capabilities.

The company said the new Mumbai office reflects the increasing strategic importance of India within its global business portfolio, and that it complements recent expansion initiatives in India, including a new warehouse in Chennai. According to the company, these investments strengthen its commercial footprint and supply chain network, improving market accessibility and service levels for customers nationwide.

Eddie Wang, senior vice president, commercial Asia South at Borouge International, said, “India is a cornerstone of our growth strategy, and the opening of our new Mumbai office, alongside the new warehouse in Chennai, reflects our long-term commitment to this dynamic market. By strengthening our local presence and supply chain capabilities, we are better positioned to serve our customers with greater speed, reliability and innovation, supporting their growth and advancing critical industries across the region.”

The company described India as a key growth market and an important part of its regional expansion strategy, stating that continued investment in local capabilities, infrastructure and partnerships reaffirms its commitment to supporting India’s long-term economic and industrial development.

Borouge International said these investments position it to meet evolving customer needs while contributing to India’s industrial and economic development, and that combining local presence with global expertise allows it to continue delivering solutions aimed at enabling customers to scale.
