Bobst has announced that it has sold its 1,000th folder-gluer from its production site in India. Long-standing, Mumbai-based, folding carton specialist, Ajanta Print Arts invested in a range of Bobst converting equipment for both die-cutting and folder-gluing in recent years, including a NOVACUT 106 ER die-cutter in 2020 and now the Visionfold 110 A2.
Ajanta Print Arts has taken delivery of the Visionfold 110 A2, described as the ultimate all-rounder for folding-gluing. Adaptable to converter needs, the Visionfold 50 | 80 | 110 brings flexibility and versatility to production lines. The multi-purpose machine can process an impressive range of box styles, regardless of size, substrate and run speed. It also maximizes up-time thanks to short make-readies and ease of set-up, as well as delivering the same flawless quality each time, thanks to a highly stable and precise folding process.
Ajanta Print Arts is a third-generation family-run packaging company that produces litho-laminated, folding cartons, plastic cartons, blister cards and shelf-ready packs for the food, personal care, pharmaceuticals and FMCG markets. Vivek Khanna, partner at Ajanta Print Arts, said, “We are wholly committed to delivering high quality and service to our customers. The Visionfold is ideal for the multiple packaging formats we run yet doesn’t compromise on quality and speed. We trust Bobst to deliver machines which meet our needs, while at the same time enabling us to support our customers with excellence at every level.”
Bobst India operates from its 20,000 sqm world-class manufacturing site in Pune and employs about 400 people. Venugopal Menon, zone business director of sales, folding carton and corrugated board – Indian Subcontinent at Bobst India, said, “The Visionfold was the ideal solution for our highly-valued client, Ajanta Print Arts. It ticked the boxes for all their needs in terms of performance, versatility, quality and efficiency. We are delighted to have been able to supply them with a machine that delivers on all their touchpoints. In addition, it is significant for our team that the 1000th one has been purchased by an Indian company, while the folder-gluers we manufacture can be installed anywhere in the world.”
Pierre Binggeli, product line director folder-gluers at Bobst, added, “We have manufactured 1,000 folder-gluers; a momentous achievement for Bobst and we are very proud of the Bobst India team. We produce folder-gluers in four different production sites, in Switzerland, Brazil, China and India. And at Bobst, the focus is always to ensure customers have machines which are optimized to boost productivity, reliability, quality and efficiency, so that their operations can be agile and responsive to their customers’ ever-changing needs. Using our experience and knowledge, we work closely with our customers to ensure the configuration of any folder-gluer we install meets their exacting needs and requirements.”
